This place amazes me. The food is good but the employees are iffy. Went there a few days ago to get some breakfast even though it was afternoon. I was greeted professionally and nicely by the hostess but, the hostess didn't have the correct info or trained properly as the manager said to me. Walked in and asked the hostess about ihoppy hr and she pointed it out. I asked even though it's not that particular time, those are available to be purchased? She said yes. I pointed it out again about the time and specifically asked 2 more times and she said yes. At this moment, I was seated but here comes the waitress with other news. She asked what I wanted to order and I point out a meal from the ihoppy hr and she says, you can't get that now. I said that the young lady said, you all would still let it happen. She asked, what young lady? I said, the hostess. So she goes to her and then she sits down or at least gets out of view. She then comes back with the manager and the manager asks what's going on? First off, she already knows what's going on because the waitress has already filled her in on the situation. Anyways, I tell her what happened and what was said but, all she could say is, she's new. That is good for her but, it's up to you all to train her right upon the menu, times and whatever else important information she as a hostess or better yet, any employee should know. At this point, I asked the rest of the party I was with, where else do y'all wanna eat and we left. Really disappointing to be told something by the first person you see, sit for 15 min and then be told the very opposite from the waitress. Read moreWe came here while on vacation and I have to say we were pretty disappointed. I will say the server was nice and was very attentive, so that was nice. As for the rest? Ehhh.
For starters they are out of a few main menu items, so if you have a picky eater that only eats chicken do NOT go here! I personally love eating breakfast foods, but my boyfriend not so much. He really only eats chicken, he is a kid at heart haha. So IHOP is always the agreed upon place. Well they didn't have chicken, so he ended up getting a burger. He did end up getting sick on the way home. My pancakes were decent, and so were the hash browns.
The other big thing was, the hostess. So we had called about putting our name on the list and the wait time, and they said we couldn't add our name, but it would be 30 minutes. So we show up and add our name and go sit down. About 15 minutes go by and they call these people that came and sat in there after us. We figured maybe they were just waiting in the parking lot. My boyfriend goes to the bathroom and thus couple comes in, puts their name on the list, and goes outside. He comes back from the bathroom, probably 10 more minutes and they call this couple! I was like there is no way, and we talked about it and made sure we didn't get a text. Then they call another lady that just put her name down! So we go up there and they actually entered our number wrong. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but she asked us to repeat it twice. She also saw us setting in there and never said a word. There really was no apology either.

Read moreThis review is for the REWARDS PROGRAM, I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to use the rewards I earned. They did not design it user-friendly at least for online users & it's just not worth the effort. I called to find out how to use it after many attempts failed. Even after getting the instructions, I was unable to use the code online. I must have upset the rep on the 2nd call because after I hung up someone closed my account so I can't even access my rewards anymore. I keep getting an error code & the rewards are gone. I hate doing business with dishonest businesses. The food & service was good, so it's a shame I can't say the same about the marketing department. I'm not sure who they got answering their calls, but they aren't doing this place any favors. It's not the local location's fault, I just felt I needed to warn others about this deflated Rewards Program that's not worth the time you got to put into it. It's all about principal.
