IHOP — Restaurant in South Carolina

My family and I went out to eat at IHOP after church. Normally this IHOP in st andrews road is really good with great customer service. That was not the case yesterday. We sat down to be waited on for like 10 minutes. My husband had to call for someone to come take our order. It was a bunch of employees sitting down playing and laughing with each other at a booth beside us. The guy that was working in that section acted as if he didn't want to service us. So they sent someone else to be our server. Her name was Skylar she was great. While eating we witnessed a lot of horse playing going on, the employees was arguing with each other and they was playing in each other hair (gross) I didn't witness anymore wearing gloves or washing their hands after messing around in each other hair. We were so tempted to leave but our server was really good and professional. There was two occasions where the staff was playing and running in the restaurant. (Well that's not safe). There was a gut sitting across from us he also witnessed this and he just shooked his head in disbelief. It was super cold in there. When we was getting g ready to leave there was no on there to check us out. We child have easily skipped out on the check but were not like that. finally a young man came to check us out we was nice. That experience was unpleasant and we have always eating at this location and never had a bad experience until now since it's under new management. Me and my partner went to get food around 1 on a Sunday. We walk in and two woman employees were arguing at the front desk about the other talking shit about the other. We got seated and ordered our food. The employees around us were all gossiping loudly for customers to hear about the two girls not getting along. The younger workers not getting along were two African American woman (one tall and one with blonde twist). When I received my food my butter on top of my pancakes had a hair in it , my server took my pancakes saying she would get me fresh ones but brought back the same plate with a different butter ball on top. We got the check before we even started eating. Our server was stopping by our table every three minutes to see if we had put the card on the tray for her to take. We waited till we were done eating and than put the card on the tray. She was waiting at the table next to us asking us if the tables were straight , grabbed the card as soon as we put it on the tray. Than came back , walking past every three minutes again to see what we wrote as the tip. I than moved the tray away from the side of the table closer to the wall. She couldn’t see the tray any longer so than she started to stare at us and came up the table reached over me while I was eating to grab the already full syrup and say she needed to fill the syrup up for me. Love Ihop but this store really needs to be updated the ceiling tiles are dirty and it's just dark in there. The food was excellent and so was service the only reason I gave service a 3 was the have a waffle breakfast special with 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon but no hash browns so I asked if I could get hash browns with that and I was told no so I then said we'll you have a pancake special with the 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon and hash browns could I substitute waffles instead of pancakes and was told no. So I ended up just getting the breakfast with 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon with hash browns makes no sense that I couldn't get the waffles. The other thing was when we went to pay my husband out the tip on the tray and we were used to paying as we walked out the door and waitress said no she could take the payment for us so again my husband told her the cash on the tray was her tip and when he gave her the cash to pay the bill she wanted to know if he wanted change back which he replied yes after telling her twice that her tip was the money on the tray and when she brought his change back he should have gotten a few dollars and 48 cents back and she kept the 48 cents.
