The Moeâs experience has gone downhill over the last few years, even before the recent âfaceliftâ which sucked any remaining soul out of the restaurant.
The app was the beginning to the end.
All the deals, including the popular âMoe Mondayâsâ are now locked away in the Moes app which is poorly designed and rarely works as intended.
Not a single time have I had a good experience with the app. Logging in every time I use it is a pain, ordering is a pain, applying offers is a pain and the order is never right or made as well compared to in-person ordering.
Instead I just order in-person and for the privilege pay more as the deals are app only.
Moeâs doesnât offer meal combos any longer, so my burrito, drink and smallest queso was $20.
The quality has diminished as well. The last two burritos I had were subpar, mainly due to the chicken lacking flavor and having an unpleasant texture, similar to those bags of premade frozen chicken strips.
The freestyle soft drink machine is gone as well. Now itâs just a simple fountain with standard flavors.
Everything that attracted me to Moes in the first place (quality, price, convenience, experience) is gone at this point and there are better local options.
Iâll look back on the golden days of Moeâs with fondness but that place no longer exists. I would rather patronize Fiesta Fresh or Java Burrito where I actually get my moneyâs worth and leave satisfied.
It feels like as a corporate franchise they are in a negative feedback loop. Moes is losing regular customers due to their pricing shenanigans which makes them double down and engage in even more anti-consumer practices to make up for lost revenue. It seems like the Moes era...
Read moreUpdate: I left a pretty bad review a couple months ago that I'll leave below this one. Revisited this spot a couple nights back after not visiting since the last review. The atmosphere still isn't as good as it used to be, but there were some improvements made. Food quality was banger. Really it was the employee working, Jenny/Ginny, that made me want to update my review. She was really cool and talkative, as a server I was impressed by her conversation skills and uplifting attitude. Shoutout to her.
Old Review TL/DR: The new interior is horrible and has made the place cold and unwelcoming. The service and food quality represented this change.
Been in the area for four years now, and since the beginning I've been visiting this Moe's. I've eaten here countless times, and each time it was fairly great. The food was always fresh and tasty, the service and atmosphere was always welcoming, and I never left unsatisfied. However, that Moe's is gone. What stands in it's place now is a soulless, corporate replacement. The vibe is just super off and unwelcoming. For the first time ever, I had a totally lackluster experience. The food wasn't fresh, the service was meh, and I left genuinely disappointed. I will mourn the Moe's I once knew, and have to get my Monday burrito-bowls...
Read moreWhere do I start? Moes. I love moes. Moes after little league baseball games to eating there after high school football games to eating there with my best friends the day before we all moved to college (or air force). No matter the situation I have been goingto this specific Moes FOR 14 YEARS. This was the place we go to debrief, cure hangovers, and make lasting memories with teams, friends, and family. I recently moved home from college and thought you know what, I havenât been to Moes since I moved. What I was faced with at the door was horrifying. I was at a loss for words. Where is my go to red booth that has rips in it? Where are the paintings of tomatoes and peppers being rockstars? Where is the nostalgic sign out front? This is NOT my Moes. A dark cloud has fallen over Bluffton South Carolina and it is all thanks to whoever approved this horrendous âmodernâ take on my beloved Moes Southwest...
