Edit 2: I don't know if all Moe's locations have changed their recipes of late, or if this particular location just has a bad franchise owner, or cooking staff, or what. But my God. I will never eat here again. It's been consistently going downhill but the last burrito I got was $13 and change, and it was a soggy heap of flavorless trash. I mean how do you make caramelized onions, the candy of the savory cooking world flavorless? Where did the seasoning on the rice go? Even the salsa was substantially more blind than normal. I got fresh jalapenos or supposedly fresh jalapenos, and couldn't taste any heat. Not only do they also charge you additional four extra chips now, and their prices have skyrocketed, but even their queso is not that great, and they literally sell it for three times what you would pay for a more authentic Mexican restaurant's queso, as their CLAIM TO FAME. Is possible that the queso itself has not in fact changed but it was just a bad batch? It was unusually thin and watery, and had very little flavor. Which is not just sad but in fact pathetic. That watery queso was about 90% of the flavor my burrito had to begin with.
My god 0/10. Edit: Docking that second star because the last two times I've gone in it's like eating soggy styrofoam. At least if you're dining in (increasing public danger) they will give you extra chips to sop up your unseasoned burrito bits with, but $11 and change for cold, sh*t food is insanity. Once I thought "wow that was the work burrito I've ever eaten but maybe a fluke", because I did have to drive a ways down the road to eat at my office but the second time, dining in, eating it fresh as it was handed to me, and still having cold mush (rice & grilled veggies)... Come on.
One of only 2 chains in Greenwood to get good vegan or vegetarian food. Always wonderful service and fresh, hot food, I've never had a problem here.
Update: docking a star, tempted to dock two. And recent months, I don't know if the management has changed, or if it's simply a matter of the staff changes, but I have found that their grilled vegetables and tofu are under seasoned and often cold, and have generally received poorer service than I used to. I highly object to spending 10 plus dollars on a largely flavorless burrito and a tiny handful of chips. I get the people are trying to cut costs / increase profit but.... I don't really enjoy eating here anymore...
Read moreVery Poor Experience I placed a pick up order with the “order promise time” of 10:54. The location “opens” at 10:30. I arrived at 10:50 and went up to the door. Locked. I then went back to my car and waited until 11:00. I went back up to the door where another gentleman was waiting due to the door being locked. Another customer approached the door. Three people stood outside for over 5 minutes in 40 degrees temperature. It was not until I finally knocked on the door that someone came to the door and unlocked it. The woman said it would be another 15 minutes. The two other customers left, unserved. Unfortunately I had an online order, because after telling the worker that I was there to pick up an order she said “okay, we will get that out to out now” and then went back inside, locking the door. I sat outside another 17 minutes until finally getting my food at 11:17. I stood outside expecting my order to be ready when she said “now”, therefore expecting it any minute. Two other customers approached and left due to the door being locked. I was not offered to come sit inside. I was not offered a free or discounted meal given the restaurant not being ready to serve customers until 45 minutes past operating hours. Overall a very sad and poor experience, especially for food quality that has slowly gone down overtime at this location.
This location lost 4 customers today, and will likely lose another unless this is corrected. Once our gift cards are used up from Christmas, likely this location will no longer frequented by my family (who are regular customers at...
Read moreEverytime I enter this store they continue to amaze me on how terrible their service is. Once I placed an online order and when I got there to pick it up they told me that they recieved some of the order but then their machine broke so they didn't know what to do. They couldn't look up he order and re-print a reciept. They couldn't seach for it by the order number. No I had to call and ask each person what is was they ordered... It took an extra 30 minutes. I ORDERED ONLINE TO AVOID THAT... In addition to that, Moes gives FREE chips and salsa with every order. So when I order to-go I ask for an extra bag of chips. If I were sitting inside and eating I would most likely get 3 or for baskets of chips. I love Moe's chips and salsa verde. So I asked for an extra bag and one time they charged me $1.50 for it. The next time I asked They gave me a bag 1/3 full of chips with both my burritos in it and the "extra" bag of chips was yet another measley 1/3 full. So two burritos and two bags of chips... THAT IS NOT AN EXTRA BAG! Like I don't understand this Moe's. I have enjoyed Moe's Mondays like a time honored tradition. I like the choices and overall value Moe's usually offers me. I lived in Columbia before moving here and I have never experienced such a poor quality representaion of this franchise. The employees are indeed rude and I really...
