Our server, I believe his name was Artemio, left off part of my friend's order. After he finally came to check in on us (we had already finished eating) she once again asked for a small order of cheese dip. He sighed and snatched up the checks he had just placed on the table and said, "Do you want it for here or to go." She requested it to be eaten there. He once again showed signs of frustration and went to the register to add it to her order. He then immediately returned with the revised checks with an added, "I'm trying to leave, you need to hurry." I was taken aback because I have been a server. We signed our checks and he asked my friend if she would like a refill to which she replied, "Yes." He took our signed checks and never returned. The restaurant was not busy which is probably why he was itching to leave, but that's also why his service was even more appalling.
Aside from the bad service I ordered a taco salad free of dairy ingredients and a Dr. Pepper. My taco salad came in a stale shell and consisted of beef (did not seem seasoned), lettuce, and mediocre guacamole. For a total of $8.37 on a Saturday lunch order.
I was wholly unimpressed with the service, food, and price. I...
Read moreI had a Lunch #6: One beef burrito & one enchilada. My husband had the Nachos al Carbon. We both enjoyed our meals. The mild salsa had no substance to it. It was like just pouring the juice off of a can of tomatoes. When it comes to the desserts, that is where they greatly disappointed me. I had the "Fried Ice Cream." It was disgusting and made me sick. I've had Fried Ice Cream before at other Mexican restaurants and they wrapped the ice cream up like a chimichanga and fried it quickly. Nothing on this was fried except the salad-like bowl that it was served in. The bowl was a flour tortilla shell fried in the nastiest, old grease. It had not been warmed and the grease had solidified. Basically, it was not fresh. The ice cream tasted freezer burnt and was covered with cornflakes. Cornflakes? How does that even sound good? The cornflakes were covered with whipped cream, topped with 2 cherries, and drizzled with fudge syrup. I forgot to mention the nasty fried bowl was drizzled with honey.
I would have asked for a refund but I had gotten it to go so that I could eat it on the way home.
My husband had his dessert, the Fried Cheesecake. He ate it but wasn't particularly...
Read moreMy wife ordered a steak dish and said it didn't have any flavor and she left about 50% of it because of all the fat and gristle. I had the Mexico Loco, the jalapeno poppers were not hot at all, barely warm. That was my first clue, as my beans and rice were room temperature with cold spots in between bites. My chimichanga was warm on one end and by the time I was finishing it, the other end was stone cold. It was like they heated the plate up in a microwave that did not get everything heated. Then my plate must have been set aside while waiting for my wife's steak to finish. I could not finish my meal as you can see in the photo. I did eat all 3 poppers & left one bite of a cold chimichangas but room temperature food and cold chimichangas are not appetizing. I don't understand why, because it wasn't crowded or busy as only 2 tables were occupied when we arrived. It got a few more tables occupied by the time we were ready to go. We had to ask for refills of tea and extra napkins because of lack of attention and they got our bill wrong, was charged too much. I don't leave bad feedbacks but this one...
