The Toasted Yolk offers breakfast, brunch, and lunch options in Myrtle Beach. They're known for their creative and delicious takes on classic dishes, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. They even make their sauces and dressings from scratch daily. Highlights: Unique Breakfast & Brunch: If you're looking for something beyond standard pancakes and eggs, The Toasted Yolk offers interesting options like "Lobster Mac & Yolk" or "Shrimp & Grits." Fresh Ingredients: They emphasize using fresh, local ingredients whenever possible. Boozy Brunch: They have a selection of cocktails alongside their brunch menu. Good Service: Many reviews mention friendly and attentive service. Things to Consider: Wait Times: The restaurant can get busy, especially on weekends, so be prepared for a wait. You can join their waitlist online ahead of time [The Toasted Yolk website] or through Yelp. Price: The Toasted Yolk is a bit pricier than some other breakfast options in Myrtle Beach, but the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the dishes justify the cost for many customers. Overall, The Toasted Yolk seems like a great choice for a delicious and unique breakfast or brunch experience in Myrtle Beach. If you're looking for a quick and cheap bite, this might not be the best option, but for a special occasion or a chance to try something new, it's definitely worth checking out!

The Toasted Yolk Café came to fruition in 2010 in Houston, Texas under the creative helm of longtime friends Chris Milton and Mathew DeMott. With their full service, traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch classics one may compare them to IHOP and/or Perkins but here everything is made from scratch. Even their sauces and dressings. Throw in larger serving portions, cloth napkins and full service bar and you will see the difference. They emphasize farm-to-table freshness and locally sourced eggs, bacon, biscuits, and much more. Their tailored breakfast/brunch meals offer a plethora of egg specialities, yolk favorites, omelettes, pancakes, brunch bowls, egg Benedicts and much more. Lunch is a variety of delicious salads, sandwiches and soups. Our Double Decker was a stuffed four-egg omelette with chopped sausage, bacon, ham, tomatoes and cheddar cheese. We left out the jalapeños and onions that normally come with it. A flaky buttermilk biscuit, cup of fruit and a choice of side got us enjoying their creamy creation of hash brown casserole. Good food, spacious, open floor plan and patio and excellent, attentive service by Damien. Will certainly come again.

What was I thinking???? I assumed that the pancakes would be similar to the " fast-food" or commercial brands.......BUT I WAS WRONG WRONG, WRONG!!! The Toasted Yolk served me a "3 stack" of pancakes that looked like "3 FRISBEES"!!! THEY WERE AT LEAST ONE (1) FEET IN DIAMETER!!!🤪 DID I HAVE A BALL "ATTEMPTING" to eat them all!!! I FAILED....They were soft, flavorful, and "melted" in your mouth. You'd be "hard pressed" to find well cooked grits such as theirs! One can only imagine if you bought their " shrimp and grits! Their selection of Meats vary from chicken sausage, turkey bacon, turkey sausage, and your standard bacon or sausage links. The hash brown casserole can be made at least four(4) different ways! And their variety omelets are wonderful! Their various styles of how you like their coffee is great also! You owe it to yourself to try them out at breakfast or lunch! Their steaks are calling your name in the noonday as well as the morning! If you "finish off" those three (3) pancakes.....call me!🤣

A couple of coworkers and I decided to try out The Toasted Yolk for breakfast this morning. I had not had a chance to visit it since it opened recently, and after viewing the menu online I was excited to try it out. We were seated immediately upon entering and our server, Emma, was very prompt in coming to introduce herself and take drink orders. Though they have an extensive beverage menu (which had various tasty looking alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks listed) I opted for a regular coffee. The coffee was good and I appreciated the selection of creamers they gave, which included a few non-dairy options (and the mugs they have are so cool!) Our table started with the Churro Donuts. They quickly were brought out and we all agreed that they were delicious! They are a bit more cinnamon forward, but that helped cut down the sweetness of the donuts and accompanying caramel sauce. I chose the Breakfast Burrito for my entree. It was huge, and stuffed with eggs, green chilis, onions, potatoes, and turkey sausage (which I had asked for to sub the regular sausage it comes with). It’s then smothered in queso and pico de gallo. It came with a small side of fresh fruit and hash brown casserole. It was all fantastic. Our server, Emma, was wonderful. She was friendly and attentive. She came over to check on us multiple times, and was on top of everything. Glad to have another great option for breakfast here in Carolina Forest! I’ll definitely be bringing others here...

We go out to eat quite often and we are always looking for the top local places to eat. I would consider us to be "Avid Foodies." We try to support local and support friends, but if we aren't pleased, we want to be honest. The food was great the first time we went, and the service was amazing. The management seemed to be doing great. Everyone was busy, and seemed well-trained and knowledgeable. As far as the food, there were many unique options on the menu, which you don't see in everyday places around Myrtle Beach, which we liked. However, we returned only to try more meals and were left feeling over-charged for the quality. The coffee is served hot, the fresh fruit was washed, portion sizes were great, quality of the food was mediocre, service was great, and the restaurant was very clean. Even though it is a new restaurant, we like to know that when we walk in we don't see a bunch of dirty dishes piled up on 25 different tables and nobody busing them. It was great to see everybody on top of everything and working hard. Pricing is high for what you get. Grits are lower grade, there is only biscuits, no toast, the pancakes were dry with a bitter taste to them. We generally order the same item at all of our favorite breakfast spots, and we compare quality, presentation, and price. After considering the prices, the quality here did not meet the mark compared to several other places. For us, it has to be more than atmosphere to warrant an...
