Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in South Carolina

Today I went through the drive-thru of my favorite smoothie cafe, Tropical Smoothie Cafe at the Killian Road location. My favorite smoothie is, the Island Green w/ moringa added....love it! However, today I thoughtfully chose the Detox Island Green w/moringa added. Though the Detox smoothie is not as sweet as the Island Green, they both taste similar except for the hint of ginger in the Detox Smoothie.

Evertime I stop in they're always serving customers, but they get you on your way speedily! I normally visit inside, but occasionally I enjoy the drive-thru as I did today. Either way, Tropical Smoothie Cafe keeps it moving, and without any issues with my order. Today I had some questions about the smoothie I selected. They answered every question knowledgeably. I really appreciated that!

I felt refreshed, satiated, and deflated in the midsection. Since it's only been about four hours since I started drinking it, and I continued sipping on it as I shopped, I'll have to wait a while before experiencing the cleansing effects.

If I could give zero I would for poor customer service and terrible management. And when I say management I mean Dex.

When I first entered to pick up and online order, I checked to make sure my items were there and was missing the jalapeño corn and my cookie. I told an employee and they didn’t ask which cookie, just gave me a chocolate chip cookie. Which I corrected, then took my smoothies to go, two of which are for my family.

By the time I drove 35 minutes home I tried my smoothie which tasted like a mix of slushy water and strawberry. I called to see if there could be a resolution to which I was told to drive 35 min back for a remake. When I said I wouldn’t be able to tonight, the manager responded saying “we’ll wait”. The manager “Dex” said they never get complaints bc they always make things right and couldn’t make us smoothies on another day without SEEING the watered down smoothie. What? Everyone makes mistakes but as a manager, rectify the situation. So now here we are having spent $37 at an establishment that doesn’t care about their customers. Very...

This location is a personal favorite! And, as usual, today didn’t disappoint. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. Today, I ordered online and got there a minute before my order was ready. A staff member noticed me looking at the online order shelf and asked my name. I appreciate that they are so attentive.

I have some food sensitivities and appreciate that I can customize smoothies and smoothie bowls. I also appreciate that the smoothie bowls are frozen so that they don’t melt quickly. My family also enjoys the meals. But, they don’t have gluten free bread, so I’ll stick with the delicious bowls.

The restaurant is clean, bright, and welcoming- just like the staff. I highly recommend...
