King donut and deli of Daytona Beach — Restaurant in South Daytona

I love a good donut and had heard nothing but good things about this place. Finally got a chance to stop in late on a Saturday morning and wasn’t disappointed. I was worried there might be limited options because it was late morning but they still had an impressive selection. The two staff members were very friendly and handled the line quickly and efficiently.

Their prices are comparable to the big donut chains but their donuts were fresh and full of flavor. Got an apple fritter, cinnamon flower, fruity pebble, chocolate frosted with sprinkles, and variety of cake donuts. They have a couple of large refrigerated coolers with an assortment of drinks and also freshly prepared tea and coffee options. Lots of seating inside, but most people were taking their food to go.

So for my son’s birthday, he requested King Donut’s apple fritter instead of cake. I checked it out today because I could not imagine what could be so special about a donut place. Wow! These are seriously the best donuts I have had in years. The apple fritter is crispy And chewy. The donuts were fresh, and the staff, just warm and welcoming. The dining area and bathrooms are spacious and clean. It is air-conditioned if you dine inside and if you want natural air, there is a separate area. The music is gentle. If you haven’t been there yet, it is definitely worth a stop. It was so good; I had to share it with you! The location is 2452 S. Nova Rd., Daytona Beach. They are open seven days a week from 5 AM until 2 PM.

I have ALWAYS had pleasant experiences with the staff, they’re very courteous, respectful, and willing to have a little conversation.

The coffee is always just perfect and if there is an issue they’re always willing to fix it. Normally the coffees arnt sweet, but not bitter, and if you don’t like it, just ask and they will happily fix it.

The doughnut selection is always plentiful with generous fillings and a good texture. One of my favorite places for doughnuts by far, again due to the selections and quality.
