I've been a customer since this establishment was located in Whittier (AKA Bambooze Brewhouse & Sushi) and as much as I love their food - BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT PAYING WITH A CARD (pay cash if you can). I went this location 2 weeks ago and the next day I saw a fraudulent charge on my account (different amount and different card then the night before, which means they likely store card numbers in those hand held kiosks from your previous visits as again I'm a frequent customer) - when I contacted the restaurant, staff was no help stating they had no way of voiding/reversing the transaction or even looking it up. I was given the owner's cell phone number and left him a very detailed message, to which I didn't get any response so I had to resort to filing a dispute with my bank and canceling that debit card. Again, love their food but definitely only doing cash moving forward as it's alarming that staff can just create charges out of nowhere then make zero attempt to resolve...
Read moreWe came here for my friends birthday, it was our first time here, one of my other friends had seen some reels on IG. We ordered a lot of food, but the following are the ones that I remember 😋 the Japanese sushi tacos were yummy, it's an appetizer and you get 4 of them with a green sauce, the sauce is a little spicy but very flavorful. We got the fried calamari 8/10... we got the Sancho roll 9/10... we also ordered the Albacore sashimi with crispy onion on top 10/10 if you like raw fish. We also ordered the octopus sarandeado it comes with rice. I personally was not a fan, it seems to be somewhat charred and it had a bitter taste to it. The drinks were yummy I ordered a paloma, very tasty. My only negative is, if you're going with a group of friends to chit chat and catch up be ready to speak LOUD because they blast music lol. Which didn't really vibe with our trying to have conversations lol. Also...
Read moreWe had an incredible dining experience at Krudo Sushi & Modern Kitchen. We ordered the Pulpo Zarandeado, Sushi Sampler (8 pieces), and Tuna Tataki with ginger soy, and every single dish was a hit.
The Pulpo Zarandeado was the star of the night — the octopus legs were melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly grilled with just the right smoky char, and paired with fried rice so flavorful it could be a dish on its own. The Sushi Sampler was fresh, beautifully presented, and showcased the chef’s skill in balancing textures and flavors. The Tuna Tataki was seared to perfection, with a delicate ginger soy sauce that complemented rather than overpowered the fish.
The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, and the service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. If you love sushi and creative seafood dishes, Krudo Sushi & Modern Kitchen is an...
