A tale of two Bubbakoo's -
At the South Euclid location, it's not a very welcoming atmosphere if you're somewhat new to Bubbakoos. Interested in all the different sauces they offer and ask for a sauce on the side, to try, to see if you'll like it next time? Upcharge. You ask why there's an upcharge for sauce and they explain that if it's on the burrito there's no extra charge but to have it on the side, in a container, there's an extra charge. So you get it on your burrito and then they upcharge you anyway. You want half of one protein and half of another? Upcharge. You ask why they can't just put half of what they'd normally put of one protein and a half portion of a different one and they tell you they can't do it. Then you watch them put two exact scoops on your burrito, further confirming they could've just put one, and then one of another type, they just didn't want to. Not to mention, the portions themselves, pretty weak and not spread out across the burrito, just two lumps right in the middle. That's just an insult to the injury of nickle and diming you for some extra condiments.
At the Broadview Heights location, the staff there is friendly and welcoming. You're not sure what sauce you want? It's okay! They will let you try as many sauces as you like - and here, take some with you on the side just in case you don't like it. They even recommend pairings - like hey, these two go really well together, you should try them. Oh, for your protein you want half chicken and half beef? No problem. Here's a decent portion, too. They'll even spread it out across the burrito so that you get a little in every bite.
You can tell the folks at Broadview Heights Bubbakoo's make their food with love and that encourages people to come back. The folks at South Euclid make their food with money in mind, and even though it's closer to home, we...
Read moreThis was my 1st AND last time visiting. Let's begin by saying CHIPOTLE has been my favorite, HOWEVER, the food quality has been declining lately so I try other "Chipotle" type establishments.. CILANTRO TAQUERIA has great food bcuz I can get shrimp too, HOWEVER, customer service & their English is not always the best.. That's what made me read BUBBAKOO'S reviews and visit 2day...I had never heard of BUBBAKOO'S & haven't eaten out in almost 6 months so I treated myself.. Waste of money for quality of food...I paid almost $20 & couldn't bought 2 bowls from Chipotle for a few more dollars..
BUBBAKOO'S customer service was great... Rice was overcooked AND undercooked at the same time...some was a little mushy & other grains were a little chalky...disgusting mouth feel.. The black beans were undercooked & slightly hard... So basically I ate only the top portion of my bowl, occasionally having to spit out beans &/or rice... HAPPY I DIDN'T GET A BURRITO..!!! It'd been impossible to separate that...bad experience...the cooks must not test their product before putting it on the line for others...
Read moreI recently tried the Chicken Rice Bowl at Bubbakoo's Burritos, and it was a solid choice. The bowl was filled with a generous portion of tender, well-seasoned grilled chicken that paired nicely with a hearty base of seasoned rice. The flavors were bold without being overwhelming, and the chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked. I loved the addition of fresh veggies, including crunchy lettuce, tomatoes, and corn, which added a nice contrast in texture. The drizzle of their signature sauce brought everything together with a mild tang that complemented the dish.
The portion size was great for a filling meal, and it’s a great option if you’re craving something quick yet satisfying. Overall, the Chicken Rice Bowl at Bubbakoo's Burritos offers a tasty, balanced meal that's perfect for anyone looking for a flavorful and...
