The service this night, unfortunately was very horrible. The situation happened about 12 midnight on March 3, 2025. The one manager that works at night named Juan is a Great manager and I have no issues with him. He was not working the night of the incident. I just want to throw that out there. The issue started with Iâm assuming the assistant manager or maybe a lead. He is a shorter older man fairly skinny and he wears glasses that works at night. It started when me and my wife came into the Dennyâs and the table he had put us at my wife did not want to sit there. She wanted to sit by the window. When he saw that we wanted the other table, he was like oh so you want the dirty ones (with an attitude) ! So he had to clean that one off, and that seemed to upset him. So we moved to the new table, and as he was taking our orders he kept catching attitudes with my wife. When he brought the drinks out, he would set them down all rough with the straws and then my wife was ordering something and he was like could you speak up. But the way he said it was rude. So my wife finally said something to him like youâre being rude, WHICH HE WAS! His excuse was that he was very busy and that he was dripping sweat and thatâs why he sounded the way he did. Oh poor baby, youâre dripping sweat. So I guess because youâre dripping sweat, you can be rude to customers. Gee, that makes sense. I donât know how you made it to the position that youâre in with that type of Mindset. If I was the owner I would fire somebody like that. This review is being written by somebody that also drips sweat. I am a commercial electrician and I do food delivery when Iâm not doing electrical pretty much day and night to get by. So I know what itâs like to do a laborious job. I donât agree with that. Just cause youâre busy doesnât mean you get attitudes with customers ! As The situation continued to magnify because the Lead or whatever he was kept arguing with my wife, he brought up the situation concerning what had happened before regarding a waitress and my wife in the past. She also is very pushy and rude and tries to make you order quickly. She is a Caucasian American heavyset girl. The fact that he started mentioning that out in the open shows that they gossip behind the scenes. He started speaking about it, openly in front of everybody in the restaurant. Man, thatâs very professional to do especially when youâre like the manager or assistant manager ! As things continued to progress, he eventually said that we had to leave, and he had the power to refuse service. He said that because my wife said he was rude, WHICH HE WAS, that she was insulting him. He acted like he was going to get the cops involved or something like that. Speaking the truth is not an insult. If you suck at your job, thatâs just how it is, Buddy ! Big part of of your job is Customer Service And unfortunately, YOU SUCK AT IT. So he told us we had to leave which we were going to do and then he goes in the back and gets the chef. Heâs about 5 foot 10 medium build Caucasian American. The chef walks up to our table all aggressively, and heâs like you guys need to leave like heâs going to fight us or put his hands on us. We werenât being confrontational when he did this, we were just sitting down and he acted all confrontational with us. So I told him that we were already about to leave and I asked him if he was trying to fight us because thatâs the way he came up to us all confrontational like he was a bouncer or something. You guys should turn your restaurant into a correctional facility. The chef can be your corrections officer because thatâs how he acts. Donât worry, I wonât be returning to your restaurant because some of your people GREATLY SUCK đ. Also, my wife is Haitian American with the way we were treated it makes me wonder if some of the people at this restaurant are racist which unfortunately is common in Puyallup, Washington.
Edit: Thank You to those that reacted. As you can see no response from the company. Hopefully you fired your...
Read moreAt approximately 3 am on Friday February 3rd, we arrived to our usual breakfast place after a fun night of BINGO at the local bingo hall. Our usual server (who we adore) was not in that morning. Our sub got us seated quickly enough and then left us for about 15 minutes before returning to get our beverage order. While she was polite, the question about coffee or beverages should have come far sooner than 15 minutes after being seated. We ordered our meal (I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict with a side of bacon and my hashbrowns extra crispy) and my friend ordered a breakfast sandwich with extra crispy hashbrowns.
When the food "finally" arrived, we took immediate notice of the hashbrowns. They looked burnt but they also did not hold together, the inside tastes like wax and were far from the hearty hashbrowns we typically see at Denny's. These were the absolute worst hashbrowns I've ever had the displeasure of eating in my 59 years. Next, my English muffin was different as well...thin, and so hard I had to saw with my knife to cut through everything. My eggs were very greasy and not the usual nice poached eggs I'm used to having on my eggs benedict. My friend was equally as disappointed in her hashbrowns as well. Neither one of us touched what was left after one bite. In addition, I ordered a side of bacon. When I received my bacon, or what there was of it...the pieces were puny and small...it tasted old, and was clearly overcooked or reheated. For as small as they were, biting through them shouldn't have been the challenge it was.
Overall, this was the worst experience we've ever had. Considering this is our usual haunt in the early morning hours where I've had such good meals that I not only tipped the server, but I tipped the cook as well and personally thanked him for the superb meal. This last visit however, truly didn't deserve a tip for anyone.
Denny's...a golden rule in business. Don't try to fix what is not broken. And two, if you were going for cheap replacements...you succeeded. Gross, disgusting and dropped your restaurant to a new...
Read moreThe service was really bad, guy kept messing up our order and the manager which I didnât get his name but appeared to be Asian decent was very unprofessional, had an attitude and was very rude and immature. I asked for a French toast slammer they gave me raw eggs and soggy hashbrowns, when I showed the server that my eggs were raw as I asked for over-easy eggs the whites were watery and and the mucus as to show it was still raw, so I asked for over- medium since they couldnât accommodate over easy, the server yet comes back again with what looks like to be âover easyâ he said let me know how those are this is what they gave me. I said okay, would you mind waiting so you see I am not exaggerating or trying to make a big deal out of these raw eggs, as I go to cut the egg water came out alongside when I lifted part of the white up the mucus was showing of the egg whites and he responded âoh wow thatâs raw can I get you another order of them or something elseâ I responded with no thank you. When this was brought to the managers attention when trying to pay I said can I get a discount sense I didnât eat the eggs nor the hashbrowns they were charging me for, he got very upset and told me over easy eggs are raw, I was flabbergasted with his response and being a chef myself I definitely know the whites are cooked and the yolk is runny đ he continued to try and educate me when I said as a chef I know they are not suppose to be raw especially the whites and with the mucus showing and he didnât say anything after that. He argued with me about discounting them because he said they go with the meal, so when I responded, well how much is a side of eggs he told me the same price as the hashbrowns so I said can I get that discounted and he was like I guess. Thatâs not on top of the dispute he had with my mom which was a separate order on how they also messed up her order and to me he seems very immature and unprofessional but when a man stood up to him he didnât say anything, but had short man syndrome âmacho manâ talking to...
