Overall, a yummy place for a relaxed lunch! Maria’s is a new place and has colorful and clean decor, which was pleasant. There was a pretty painting/mural on the way to the seating area which we appreciated. There is a lot of natural light with large windows along the road- facing side of the seating area (which is where most of the tables are- booths on the other side). Another good note is that the music was not overwhelming. It was easy to talk without being bombarded which isn’t always the case.
We were seated immediately and waited a few minutes for the server. We received chips and salsa which were nothing special, but it was something to munch. I would have like the chips warm but that’s just personal preference.
The service through the visit was brisk and efficient but not unfriendly. My husband got the carne asada smothered chimichanga and I ordered a two cheese enchilada plate with one hard shell shredded beef taco ala carte. The enchiladas were good- mild but nice flavor and especially good was the overall preparation of it. The corn tortillas were tasty and nothing fell apart or became a uniform blob while eating. Tons of cheese without being a soaking mess. The rice and beans were also nothing special and pretty so-so.
I really enjoyed the taco! The shredded beef was lightly but effectively flavored and utterly stuffed the shell. It was all the way to the top. Shell was crunchy and again, not soaked. It never fell apart even when I added a lot of lettuce and tomatoes. It did lack cheese though, which was a bit disappointing.
My husband’s chimichanga was smashing! The carne asada was cut in thick chunks and the tortilla was also crispy and fried just right. The ratio of meat to other ingredients was really right on. Each bite had everything. Again, the preparation was a winner- no swampy mess during or after eating.
We were not asked if we wanted refills while we were there (we did finish the drinks) nor dessert at the end. I was planning on ordering something but wanted to see if we’d be invited to first.
We will visit again and maybe get a margarita and a dessert was well. 😊

Read moreThis use to be one of my favorite restaurants. Last Sunday we went in and was seated promptly. We were given water and chips and told our server would be with us. Just an FYI those chips they give you are not complementary, they charge you 4.99 for them. We waited and waited for our server to come take our order. Meanwhile 2 other tables around us were also waiting and wondering where and when she was going to take their order. After 25 minutes she came and kept looking in the kitchen as if there was something more important than us. She took our order than tried twice to give us the wrong drinks. Our food came out and was delicious even though my husband didn't get the taco he had ordered. She never came back to see if everything was okay and once again they tried to bring us someone else's food. The table next to us came to our table to get their food because they had left it there. After we were done the waiting began again, and waiting and waiting. My husband finally went up front to see if we could get some boxes and pay the check, but was unable to find someone. He then walked into the kitchen and asked for some help When someone came out to take our money. She asked us what table we were seated at. How do we know, we don't work there? I was thinking at this point we should just dine and ditch but that is not who we are. He complained then about how bad the service was and all she could say was how busy they were. She never apologized. She then offered him a 15% discount which was nice but then when he asked for boxes she told him no. So yes, we paid for our food and couldn't even take the leftovers home. Once again I will say the food was delicious but this service was horrible. I think it will be a long time before we ever...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Maria's Mexican Grill, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. The restaurant strikes a wonderful balance between a lively atmosphere and a comfortable, welcoming environment, making it a perfect spot for a casual dinner. The culinary highlight of my visit was the shrimp ceviche. It was a testament to the kitchen's skill—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly seasoned. The presentation was also top-notch, with the dish looking as good as it tasted. The portion size was just right for a single diner, leaving me satisfied but not overly full. My server, Perla, was an absolute star. Her attentiveness was exceptional; she seemed to anticipate my needs without being intrusive. I was particularly impressed by how quickly my chips, salsa, and drink arrived, especially since I was quite hungry. The swift service continued with my main course, which arrived promptly despite the restaurant being busy. Perla's friendly and efficient service significantly enhanced my dining experience. The restaurant's ambiance contributed to a relaxed evening. Even though it was a busy night, the noise level remained surprisingly low, allowing for comfortable conversation. The space felt clean and well-kept, adding to the overall sense of comfort. Finally, the value for money at Maria's is excellent. The prices for both the food and drinks felt perfectly aligned with the quality of the meal, the fantastic service, and the pleasant atmosphere. Maria's Mexican Grill is a place I'd gladly recommend...
