Rice King Express — Restaurant in South Jordan

The first time I ordered from this place I had no problems. With this being said from every time since it's been down hill. The second time I order they didn't bring our egg drop soup. No big deal right? WRONG. Except for the fact that the egg drop soup was for my niece who had just under gone oral wisdom teeth surgery and couldn't eat anything else, I of course called back only to be talked down to by THE MANAGER. I couldn't handle being on the phone because I wouldn't have been so polite back. So of course I handed he phone over to someone else in which again THE MANAGER fought over the phone for 15 minutes that we never ordered the large egg drop soup(it was he first thing we order) and that she would only bring it out to us if we paid AGAIN for it., even had the receipt. So of course with my niece laying on the couch in pain we did what anyone else would have done. We just reordered and paid for the damn soup. After that I was very hesitant to order from them again, but living in deep West Jordan there's only so many options so we gave in and order again. Well 2 out of the 3 last times we've ordered the food just did not sit right with not only me but my SO. I mean I could be passive and say "oh maybe it's just our weak stomachs" and that's just what I did.. until TODAY! Last night. After ordering my regular order (shrimp fried rice w/side of egg roles) HOLY HELL. It's def not my weak stomach. Ready for my TMI. All thanks to the all mighty RICEKING I've been sick all day. On and off the toilet. Throwing up. So my conclusion? Welp. Not only am I NEVER ordering from you because you have poor customer service and sickening food, but I'm telling everyone I know. EVERYONE and ANYONE who searches these reviews to please save yourself a trip to the bathroom. It isn't worth it, go grab some Panda...

1/9/2023 The walnut shrimp was a nice presentation. The shrimp won-ton soup, however was not good this time.

The wontons were mushy, the soup base was red color instead of a clear both like it used to be. It lacked flavors.

The garlic shrimp (sauce) is similar to almost all of their dishes flavors, using the same chili sauce.

We've their dishes more than multiple times the past 5 years, the dishes were always decent and tasty.

Their dishes have gone downhill.

A good restaurant, even if it's an express business doesn't use the same sauce for almost all dishes.

The once upon a time wonton soup we loved is no longer the same taste, seasoning and textures.

Presentation: 4 stars for the orange slices with walnut shrimp/broccoli/honey glazed crispy walnuts. It's close to being the only dishes that was decent.

The girl behind the counter might greet you with "What do you want (essentially, it's translated to "May I take your order.")

Their dishes are no longer refueling happiness in every bite.

We tossed the entirety of the food portions. It was not consumable.

Typical Chinese food...the Chicken has the std breading for both the lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken...most likely purchased frozen and then reheated...especially when it took like ~10 minutes to get all of the meals to go... No frills meals with just the chicken, sauce, and plain white rice... the sweet and sour sauce is probably from a container and doesn't taste like it's freshly made but was just reheated...but I could be wrong...the lemon sauce tasted good enough for my wife to give it a score of almost 4 out of 5...the Gen tso chicken did come with steamed broccoli...which took space so you get less chicken... there was no spiciness as the description indicates so I gave that a 3.5..it looks like you can eat in the restaurant...but it's very basic with no drinks... I am unsure of any drinks because there was no drink dispenser, no utensils, no napkins, etc., available for in store eating... at any rate overall probably a 3.5 / 5 and I probably won't be...
