Groovy Peach Piercing — Local services in South Jordan

I was SO impressed with this piercing place. They had a ton of walk-in’s waiting but these girls were cool and calm. I appreciated that despite how busy they were, they still took their time piercing my daughter’s ears. They would draw dots on her earlobes, look for evenness, ask my daughter what she thought, then redraw where the hole would be. I was most impressed with the cleanliness. In Utah, piercing is not regulated. But Groovy Peach has the health department come in and inspect, even though they don’t have a legal obligation (as I understand). Once my daughter picked out which earrings she wanted—Groovy Peach only uses 100% titanium jewelry, which is the safest metal that you can put in your body— the piercing technician got them out of stock, they came prepackaged and sterilized, but Groovy Peach sterilizes them again in shop. Everything was so clean, and the shop decor is so fun, and those girls are the sweetest women on the planet. They were so patient with my 14 year old daughter, and they told her the entire process before hand. I actually was jealous that my own ear piercing experience 30+ years ago wasn’t this calm and clean.

Please don’t go to Claire’s to pierce your child’s ears! The piercing gun is impossible to sterilize 100%, and the gun isn’t loaded with a needle, it’s loaded with the jewelry. The guns are using blunt force trauma to puncture your earlobe with an earring, which is why most of the millennial generation have scar tissue around our piercing holes.

This place is worth spending the extra money, and your piercing comes with a 2 week follow up, so they can check for infection or any other issues. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

January 15, 2025: As a follow-up I would like to add that the day my daughter had her ears pierced, I was supposed to get my nose pierced. Unfortunately I had an MRI scheduled for 2 weeks later. Groovy Peach used their professional knowledge to advise me against it for my safety. Titanium is the only metal allowed in and MRI, but it’s not advised. I went back in January and had the exact amazing experience. I LOVE THESE GIRLS!!! They even offered me an acrylic plug to use for future MRIs or CTs!! I cannot suggest them enough!!...

I cannot say enough good about our experience at Groovy Peach Piercing!! We live on the east coast and my daughter has been asking to get her ears pierced for about a year. We had heard so many good things from family and friends in Utah about this cute piercing shop that we decided it was worth waiting until the holiday’s when we knew we’d be in the area. From scheduling (so accommodating and helpful, especially during tight holiday travel plans!) to time of arrival, to picking out jewelry, to piercing - Lindsey was perfect. She talked my 5yr old daughter, Stella, through the whole process. She made her feel so grown up & special, and she was so kind and empathetic with her. It felt like Lindsey had all the time in the world to spend with us. If Lindsey, with her professionalism and expertise wasn’t enough, the shop itself is absolutely swoon worthy!!!! So absolutely adorable - I wanted to take up residence there. This place is the ultimate spot. We can’t wait for our next trip to Utah to make another trip to Groovy Peach! We’re Virginia Beach’s biggest fans😍

Edit to add: it’s been 3 weeks since Stella’s piercing and they have healed so beautifully!! The instructions Lindsey gave her were perfectly age appropriate & suited her for understanding. We have had zero issues, which I think speaks to the extremely uncompromised high quality jewelry they pierce with, as well as their mastered technique...

I researched for hours and talked to so many moms and women for a place to take my daughter and I for her firsts and my seconds. There are lots of places out there, but there's nowhere that's as lovely of an experience for little girls and women! I didn't necessarily want to go to a tattoo shop but I wanted somewhere that used hollow needles and specialized in piercings, so Groovy Peach was perfect. The vibes are immaculate!

My daughter (kindergarten) was nervous (let's be real, I was more nervous than she was), but she was put at ease immediately with Lindsey. The two booths in South Jordan are SUPER cute, warm, inviting, and fun. Taylor Swift lyrics and photos, neon signs, and cute sparkly things adorn all the walls. It was such a fun and safe environment, and it's all extremely clean and hygienic. I plan to take all my friends there for fun or to treat them for their birthdays!

They use single-use, hollow needles and use a real autoclave to sanitize their equipment. I was super impressed with Lindsey's expertise and knowledge (she has a medical background). She was wonderful at putting all of us at ease (we booked a "party" and had three of us) and explaining the aftercare. It was such a core memory for us and I'm so grateful we got to do it at Groovy Peach.
