Brickley's Ice Cream — Restaurant in South Kingstown

Over the years I've always seen a line driving by. Never had the desire to try, until Holy Cow closed. Tried tonight and I am thoroughly confused. Maybe it is a flavor preference thing. Chocolate has ZERO flavor. Got chocolate coconut almond & chocolate brownie. I ate 1/4 of each and had my husband try bc I thought it was me. No brownie pieces in my scoop either. (That happens no biggie.) So dumped that flavor and was excited for coconut one. Again nothing! Now after 45 minutes or so all I have is a chemical after taste on the back of my tounge I can not get rid of. My husband got heath and cake batter. He had maybe 5 bites and chucked his. I was a professional ice cream scooper, maker (& eater 😈) for about a decade at a well respected house made ice cream spot in the town I grew up in, so it takes a lot to “Wow” me. One bite of Brickley’s maple walnut (my litmus test, if you will) had my jaw on the floor. My husband ordered the Butter Brickley, which was the move; it had me so jealous that I didn’t order this flavor myself. You can tell the ice cream has a high milk fat content by the beautiful texture. The flavoring is perfect, not enough to overwhelm, but definitely enough to balance with the creamy consistency. The ice cream was delicious and the scoops are huge! I got a small and it felt like a large! Waffle cone was delicious and you can smell the waffle cones while you stand in line 🤤I tried “butter Brickley” which had hard caramelized chunks in it with “Apple pie”. I loved the combo my own reservations were that I’m not a fan of crunchy things in my ice cream so I didn’t like the texture of the big caramelized chunks and I was hoping that the apple pie would have had pie chunks in it but it only had apple chunks which was still...
