Starbucks — Restaurant in South Lake Tahoe

I never felt so belittled by any service place in my entire life. The barista at the bar had a bully like behavior and not only that, every baristas working in the store validate this disgusting behavior by cheering her on for how she treated me. The situation that happened to me is not only disgusting, but also show the lack of humility present in this Starbucks location. One star is too generous for this store.

The situation: I came in to ordered a "matcha iced, no sweetener, with cold foam" assuming that it won't be a latte and only their iced matcha powder with water. My bad for not knowing and ordered wrong.

Got my drink and noticed on the label it was matcha latte. When back into clarify (not to complain) with the barista on bar if she made it as a latte because I order iced matcha (assuming it was only water and matcha). She answered my with the most condescending tone saying that they "can only make it latte or iced matcha lemonade". I continued to make clarification and asked if she can make the drink with just matcha powder and water.

She then now raised her voiced, borderline yelling at me, belittling me as if I am stupid, and making a scene for the whole entire store to watch. "we can only make it in latte or iced lemonade" she yelled.

I was very confused with her answer because I clarified if she can make the drink without milks and water as substitute. She not only did not listen to what I was trying to order, but she treated me as if I was stupid and making a scene.

I continue to make more inquiries about their progress of making the drink, "so can't you make it iced matcha with out the milk? Does the matcha powder have powdered milk it in?" At this point, she seem to reach the pinnacle of her foul mood. She then reply to me, still it a very condescending tone, "there is only the matcha latte or the iced lemonade."

I was done being humiliated and belittled so I removed myself from the situation that clearly would have been approach in a better manner. As I walked out of the door, EVERY BARISTAS IN THE STORE cheered the barista on for how she went about that situation. They cheered "Good Job!"

I understand that working at Starbucks is stressful as it is, but that doesn't excuse her behavior of disrespecting me. Their actions really show the lack of humility in very baristas working that this store, which is the opposite of what...

We ordered 7 drinks on the mobile app in consideration of Covid, so that our whole group didn't have to go inside. It was 33 degrees outside and my father-in-law who paid for the drinks was a firefighter for years and has a cough because of that. He and my son went inside to wait for the drinks. The workers tossed them out to wait outside. People who ordered inside could wait inside, but mobile orders had to wait outside, yet they wouldn't notify you when the drinks were ready. Starbucks needs to consider how much money people spend and the weather. Both were wearing their face masks. This is NOT my favorite Starbucks. Go over to Heavenly Shopping for better service.

I ordered a cinnamon roll iced coffee - that's equal pumps of white mocha and cinnamon dolce syrup. The coffee had no cinnamon dolce, so I went back and told the lady at the counter it was wrong and what it was supposed to be. We recently visited the Starbucks in South Lake Tahoe and had a wonderful time. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home.

The baristas provided excellent customer service, taking our orders efficiently and engaging in pleasant conversations. Our drinks were skillfully crafted and delicious, just as we expected from Starbucks.

The seating area was comfortable, offering a cozy space to enjoy our beverages and relax. Whether it was a hot coffee on a chilly day or an iced drink during summer, the ambiance inside the store was inviting.

Conveniently located with ample parking, the South Lake Tahoe Starbucks was easily accessible. It made for a convenient and enjoyable stop during our time in the area.
