European Corner Panadería Venezolana — Restaurant in South Miami

I wanted this place to be so good because I work nearby and would love to have it as my go to coffee/bakery shop. My experience was very unpleasant. The cashier was busy speaking on the phone while she tried to take my order, this showed a huge lack of customer service on her part! I ordered a coffee, an expresso, and a spinach empanada. I'm sorry, but the spinach empanada i throwed out mid way eating it as it was so soggy, and not even warm. I love supporting small businesses! But I think this establishment needs a huge change. I also asked the lady as she was talking on the phone how much my total would come up to, she said " 4.00 for the coffee and 3.00 for the emapanda " she Charged me $9, when I asked her why she said because it was 3.50 and 4.50, then an additional tax. Which still doesn't add up to 9.. Don't go...

Do not be confused this is an amazing Venezulan corner store! Boyfriend took me here for breakfast one day and I was blown away by how delicious and affordable everything we ordered was. We started off with (hands down) the best tequeno ive ever had and a cachito which is a tiny loaf of bread stuffed with ham. We also split the desayuno criollo that was plenty enough for both of us and was made up shredded marinated beef, a fresh arepa with delicious cheese, scrambled eggs, and black beans. Wow wow wow. It was a nice change from a heavy cuban meal and really blew me away with the simplicity ingredience but abundance of latin comfort flavors. The staff was beyond nice and politely spoke to us throughout our meal as if we were old friends. Will definitely go back to try other things at this hidden Venezuelan...

Mi esposa compró un pan de jamó, dos hallacas y una ensalada de gallina, y no se que le pasó al chef que las tres cosas eran mediocre por el precio. El pan de jamón tenía muy poquitas aceitunas, no tenía tocineta y el jamón no era jamón ahumado de calidad, no vale los $35.00 que cuesta, las hallacas estaban saladas, mucha masa y el guiso no lo vi por ningún lado, tenía pimimientos, cebolla una aceituna y una salsa con unos pedacitos de carne o cerdo, no pude determinar de que era. Las hallacas a $15.00 cada una fueron directa a la basura. La ensalada de gallina era más bien una ensalada de papitas, zanahoria y guisantes duros, y de vez en cuando aparecía unas mechitas de pollo, ni siquiera de gallina. Un desastre. No se que les pasó, me lo habían recomendado como excelente. También compramos un asado negro que no he probado todavía. En total nos costó $80.00 para dos personas. A ese precio mi expectativa era mucho mejor de lo que recibimos.
