Miyako's menu is a testament to the art of sushi, showcasing impeccably fresh fish and expertly crafted rolls. The "Spicy Tuna Crunch," a local favorite, bursts with vibrant flavors of tuna, Jalapeno, and eel sauce. The "Love Boat for 2" is a showstopper, featuring an assortment of sushi, sashimi, and rolls that are both visually stunning and incredibly delicious. Miyako Japanese Restaurant in South Miami is a hidden gem that blends authentic Japanese flavors with a warm, neighborhood feel. From the moment you walk in, the cozy ambiance, complete with traditional red lanterns and a welcoming sushi bar, sets the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.

The staff are consistently kind and attentive, creating an atmosphere where regulars feel like family and newcomers are quickly made to feel at home. Service is fast, yet never rushed, and the team is always ready to offer recommendations if you’re unsure what to try.

The food? Outstanding. The sushi is fresh and well-crafted, with standouts like the Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll and the Diana Roll—topped with crab salad and a sweet-spicy Thai sauce. Not into sushi? Try the Wafu Steak or the Tonkatsu, both rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the menu is diverse enough to satisfy any palate.

Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch, a casual dinner with friends, or looking for a go-to sushi spot in Miami, Miyako delivers consistency, quality, and charm. Highly recommended for anyone who values great food and genuine...

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I ordered through Uber Eats and called the restaurant right after to cancel the order—a cancellation they absolutely had the power to process. The reason? I ordered a “Love Boat,” expecting an actual sushi boat, not a basic platter tossed in a tray. This was meant as a thoughtful gift for a woman who just gave birth, and she specifically wanted the presentation of a boat.

Instead of handling it with any decency, the manager was shockingly rude and completely dismissive. She even hung up the phone mid-conversation. No apology, no solution—just attitude.

There are plenty of high-quality sushi restaurants in Miami I could’ve gone to, but I chose this one only because of the boat presentation. What a mistake. Not only was the food misleading, but the service was unprofessional and downright...

I went to Miyako for lunch. The restaurant was spacious, bright, and pleasant. The restaurant has two sections for traditional Japanese seating. I saw them preparing several humongous boats of sushi there. I ordered chicken katsu curry and some sushi. The food tasted wonderful, quite fresh and authentic. The staffs speak English, Japanese, and Spanish – I heard them greeting other customer in those languages. They are very friendly and attentive. Overall I had a nice experience here. I would come back again to try dinner. I highly recommend this place.

I don’t know how I’ve never tried this place before… food was delicious , service and ambiance was great!! Patricia was so attentive and willing which made our lunch very pleasant … my husband ordered the dinner special which was very good - reasonable price - and the sautéed scallops were amazing… for me and to share we had an order of edamame, a kanisu, a spicy salmon tiradito, and Isabella sushi roll which I loved it!! We’ll be back for sure… at least once a month!!! Bravo!
