KFC — Restaurant in South Pasadena

I visited this store on Tue (6/11/2024) for the 8/$10 special and it is my first time visiting such place. I usually go to the one nearby on Colorado in Pasadena but unfortunately they did not participate in the promo. Placed order online scheduled for pickup at 3PM, arrived at 3PM with nothing. Waited after another customer and the order-taker - a South Asian or Indian man helped me and asked if I was picking up and I said "yes" and gave him all the info....but get this....all of a sudden he gave me a deer-in-headlight moment for a mere 10 seconds and just froze looking at me in the eyes and I thought he had a seizure or something. I had to raise my voice for him to snap out of it. Weirdest experience I have ever encountered with a human being (or was it?).

Great deal at $10 for 8pcs BUT the chicken were a gooey mess stuffed in a box and not 'the bucket' as advertised. The breading was still very soft and wet, and falling off like the chicken had gone though napalm with skins hanging on all of them. It was the grossest KFC I have ever eaten. Anyway, he was the only employee visible for the longest time until another big and tall Hispanic lady/aunt appeared. Could of sped up the process, but nope. Lazy as ever and definitely NOT worth the $20/hr raise as it has also raised the prices on my food. On top of all that, homeless people were sleeping in the patio area and...

I stopped here to pick something up for my kids and I was already annoyed because it was raining and there was no drive thru but at this point nothing can be done about that. However after braving the rain I walked in only to be ignored by the one worker that was there. I stood patiently and waited for him to acknowledge me but he never did. What further confused me was that he was packing an order but I was the only person in the KFC. So who is he packing the order for? There's no drive thru remember. If it's a door dash order the driver hasn't arrived yet so why are you rushing to complete that while you have a real customer waiting? The last he could do was too acknowledge me and tell me he would be right with me but he just stayed focus on his order. When I finally was like, "hello" he looked annoyed and then told me they didn't even sale wings which is what I went in for. I will never be coming back to this...

My Son and I deliver for Uber Eats and we went in to pick up one of our deliveries that night at this So. Pasadena KFC on Huntington Dr/ Fremont Ave. Upon arriving.found the order not ready and after waiting in the car for about 20 minutes I was getting ready to go in and see what was taking so long, seeing the delivery address was showing delivery way up in the South Pasadena Hills, wanted to get it done. When My Son finally exits the rear door where I was parked. And said, IDK they're just slow I guess? Which takes me to this observation; Be thankful that there is work for people who want to work? Others please stay home. Thank you in advance? Lol okay I'm done. Thank you all again and stay tuned for another review. (.Hope it's much better...
