My first experience was great when i found myself at grocery outlet. I found some nice deals on my first and solo run, I made sure to get a little extra, as things come and go at this store. Today was definitely a bit of a different experience. We found everything alright, found some goodies, and went to stand in line. The cashier was an older woman named Rebecca, who was laughing and being all cutesie with the customer before me, who was a young girl, with her daughter. She rang her up, and the customer left. As me and my partner were up to bat, Rebecca's demeanor changed right away from all jolly to a sour faced attitude woman & didn't even attempt to greet us. Was it because I asked for bags with a please for my items? Was it because I have tattoos? Did she assume i was a hoodlum and couldn't afford the $70 that i spent at this establishment, or was it the fact I am lesbian, that I wasn't treated with the same respect as the customer before me? Right away my partner and I noticed the switch up, and both looked at each other like uhm, okay! We paid our tab and left. Because of the scrutiny we felt for no apparent reason, we will take our business elsewhere. Thanks,...
Read moreSells rancid meat, even from the frozen section. Opened a pack of Jennie O Turkey burgers and the small wreaked and filled my whole kitchen. All of the frozen patties were colored differently, with some looking obviously spoiled. I took the individually wrapped patties to the store to exchange for store credit but the cashier and manager Juliane decided that they were going to do petty gatekeeping on a long time customer. They made multiple excuses for not allowing me return going from “full packaging” on the spoiled item not being there, including the patty I cooked to see if I was imaging it was spoiled. They wanted the cooked patty as proof apparently. And even though Julliene said that the best she can do is give store credit, she backtracked and said I would have to come back and ask the owner for a refund instead. A simple 8.99 exchange turned into a lost customer. I’m sure the employees were in the right though, after all I shouldn’t have been buying meat from...

This place is a hit or miss for me….sometimes the employees are nice & sometimes I get treated like I’m an annoyance. Like today, for example, I was looking for a specific item….and the lady (with a scanning device in her hand) acted like my inquiry was bothersome. It was obvious that she did not want to assist me. Two months ago, a cashier was sooo helpful. She got me in contact with a guy that works here & he helped me pick out nice liquors. His recommendations were very appreciated & exactly what I needed.
Perhaps there is a window of time that I should go? I do like saving money on the products sold here…but I don’t like being treated unworthy.
I will go here a few more times (varied days & times)….if things improve, AWESOME — I’ll update this narrative. If it gets worse, I’ll find another place to...
