Best Chicken and Ribs — Restaurant in South Salt Lake

I've been EYEING this place for a very long time every since I was dinning from another food establishment across the street. Now that I have step foot in this establishment, I felt relief I can give a REVIEW on it. Keep in mind its a small GREEK establishment and parking can be pack but I went durimg the afternoon so there was plenty of parking. When I walk-in, feel like a Subway kinda atnosphere.....maybe its just the tile floor? It does show its age and there are things that needed a make over but in the future, if the owner(s) decided to remodel....avoid the restroom at all cost unless its an EMERGENCY to use so I knock it down a star. The whole point of this review is the FOOD obviously and the service. From the looks of things, Im please with the service and the order I receive. I end up doing a TAKE OUT and order a CHICKEN SALAD and DOUBLE CHICKEN KABOB with soda drinks(unlimited refill). Getting my food would take 5-8 minute from the time I put in my order and you would see them cooking the chicken kabob on the grill. When my order was ready, I was surprise at the amount of food portion they gave me...well worth the price. Then came to tasting the food....oh boi oh boi! I was lit by the season flavor on the chicken. I'm very very satisfy and this hidden local place should be on your radar to try. Will come again for the WHOLE...

Placed a to go order at 2:04pm on a weekend. There is no one else in the restaurant. Another man walked in and went around the back. After 20 minutes, for a (chicken kebab & rice only). The owner and the woman, are speaking with this person in the back. Mind you, NO one else has walked into the restaurant while I’m there still waiting for my order.

I went go to the counter, the lady spoke up and said it’ll be just another minute longer. I finally walked out at 2:29 PM, they’re still in the back talking, WTH? Does it really take longer 30 mins for a kebab or rice??? Don’t waste your time here, go to a different Greek city grill, The Other place, or even Greek Slovak. All these people will treat you with respect have your food ready to go hot in a timely manner. Even if they’re busy!!! And less $ at these other places for great food also!! Should’ve known, red flag when their restaurant menu is written on a lined piece of paper on the counter!! ...

It was hard to understand the woman who took my order. The wouldn't just let me look and I felt hurried to order. I wanted a Greek salad and kabob. It rang up to 19. I asked if there was a smaller Greek salad since that seemed pricey. She immediately said, "That's why I said...and I still couldn't understand and just agreed on what she apparently suggested to begin with. She brought out a salad to me that is not Greek and all but shoved the tray in the table and started walking away before it was even all the way on the table. Men don't seem to get the same treatment. The kabob the only redeeming factor of my experience. I got on my way to try the Greek restaurants in town. I really wouldn't call this one Greek. Also I know that angry and the Greek people I have met while theretand here at restaurants are usually very nice. If there for the kabobs, the place is worth it otherwise...
