A man from here handed out some vegan flatbread into where my mother works at, I guess to advertise through samples. It worked! I brought my mother some lunch and she gave me the bag of flatbread knowing I love Middle Eastern food. She told me the man who brought the bread said they have the best humus so I immediately drove over to visit the store and get some (I had been trying a lot of homus lately for hanukkah partys but the American grocery store stuff is gross) theirs is SO GOOD, very earthy, I heated it up, and topped it with a little oil and fresh herbs. The baba ghanoush is very garlicky and has a perfect smokey flavour. I brought some pistachio baklava home for my family to try and they said it was delicious too! And I got another bag of bread and all together I spent under $10. So the prices are very low. The girl helping me was very sweet and let me know that the bread and homus was made fresh today. Read moreAbdulkarim and his wife, Zahra, started this business, and I am so excited that this bakery is still up and running! Both the former/original owner and the new owners are wonderful and dedicated people. Abdulkarim and Zahra, formerly a veterinarian and a seamstress, were refugees from Syria in 2008. They were inspired to bring their delicious tastes to their new home in Utah.
I absolutely LOVE the assortment of food options- savory meats and bread combination and also lots of sweet treats in many sizes! A must to stop by every other week! Yummy stop for lunch, dinner, take-out, or to pick up a bunch of desserts or finger foods for a group event. Wonderful middle eastern (Levantine) food!

Read moreI found this place when I was searching my name while I was bored at my hotel in Northern Salt Lake City. I figured I'd come check it out since it has the same name as me. I have since returned to this place every time I am in Salt Lake City. The owner, Karim, and his wife are super nice and friendly! Every time I have visited I have talked with Karim for an hour and always wished I had more time! They are a wonderful couple and take pride in their bakery. Their baked goods have always been fresh. My wife always makes sure that I buy some of their baklava to bring back to Wyoming. Their prices on everything are reasonable and it is nice to find a small bakery like this in Utah. I highly recommend coming down to this place to get some amazing baked goods. I will return to this place every time I come back to Salt Lake City. This is now a "must visit" place for me...
