Updated review: Service has improved since owner began working the counter. The fritters are deeply fried. Last time overcooked. Otherwise great simple sandwiches and such good donuts. Abundant parking. Usually crowded without cleaned tables. Best to buy & go. Awesome donuts. Counter service was AWFUL. I love donuts. Seriously, they make me giddy. Donut day & a Friday? Best. Day. Ever. Overcharged for a glazed cinnamon roll. Tasty though. The service interaction was strained and rude. I walked in smiling, happy (just got a huge check, worked out and now donuts?!) Walked out shaking my head. Hopefully, someone that hates working with customers this much will find a better fit to their temperament. As it is now, you've got to arrive early for good selection and a super unpleasant, openly hostile counter server for SLC's best donuts.

I've been on the hunt for a delicious donut. These were easily the best I've tried in Utah so far. A perfect combination of delicious flavor and texture. The glazed donut was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The apple fritter was wonderfully crispy and soft as well. They were still warm when we got them, which added to their deliciousness. I was hoping for a cake donut but they didn't have any at the time, so that was a bummer. But the glazed and fritters we got more that made up for it. I wish there were more places like this especially closer to where I live. I returned the next day early and was able to get cake donuts which were also great. I also snapped a current photo of their menu because the prices listed in Google are way off.

If you're on the hunt for fantastic donuts from a locally owned shop, Fresh Donuts and Deli should be your go-to destination. This beloved spot has been delighting the SLC valley with the most amazing donuts for years. Just one drive past the shop in the morning, with the windows down, is enough to lure you in with the irresistible aroma. Inside, you'll find a shop singularly focused on one thing: donuts. They are true experts, crafting perfect cake, raised, and old-fashioned varieties. You won't find gimmicky flavors or over-the-top toppings here—just classic, delicious donuts done exceptionally well. Do yourself a favor and order at least a dozen, and don't forget to add some donut holes. You'll be glad you did!

I absolutely love this place. There’s a certain feeling you want when entering a donut shop that Fresh Donuts embodies. It’s a small, clean, spartan space that is tailor made for an entire donut experience. I don’t want a fancy bakery when I get donuts. I want the essentials and a case of fried rings of dough. Simple. My favorite has always and will always be the chocolate cake. The blueberry glazed is also incredible and just about anything on the menu will make your day. The customer service is amazing and the two or three employees not only crank through the line in exponential fashion, but simultaneously make donuts in the process. It’s impressive. A well oiled and delicious machine. Go now.

Totally picky about donuts, and this OG spot hits the spot EVERY. TIME. Whenever we are in the area, this place is a MUST STOP. When family comes to visit, we take them here. Never disappoints. EVER. My favorite donuts here are the blueberry glazed, and their apple fritter! The blueberry glaze is OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. One-of-a-kind donut - they are known for this donut. Apple fritter - let's just say I've never been an apple fritter fan - until I sank my teeth into theirs. If you time it right, and they are just straight out of the oven - it's HEAVEN in your mouth. Love this mom-and-pop joint, and I wish they would open a location in Utah County - I can dream, right? =)

I've had donuts here before and they were fine, but today all they had left was dozens and dozens of apple fritters. They looked really dark, but I figured they know what they're doing so I bought two. Well ... they were in fact overcooked, you could taste a slight burnt taste, and you couldn't taste apple at all. On top of that, they had soaked up so much oil you could tell they were cooked at the wrong temperature. I'm not one who likes to waste food, but I just had to throw these away, they were so bad. I would have rather they told me they were sold out for the day. They should have known these were not a good quality and not had them out for sale.
