What happened to 'fast food'? Uniontown, PA, home of the BIG MAC. I remember the day when sandwiches were on the rack behind the counter with time markers to indicate freshness, as well as when the sandwiches were no longer serviceable. Efficient management ensured waste was limited.
Three of us arrived at McDonald's for breakfast. We each had sausage and egg McMuffins. My niece also had a hashbrown. We waited over twenty minutes for our order which included two juices and a coffee. The clerk reported she was waiting for eggs to cook...??? We were literally standing to walk to the counter for a refund when the clerk appeared at our table with our order. Hence, we stayed and ate; after the clerk returned to our table with the jelly and spreading knife my niece requested prior.
Over twenty minutes! Ridiculous. We were the second of three customers in the restaurant. The first was served immediately before us, while the third was still waiting after we ate and left. The clerk did make many trips outside to the curb side area with armfuls of bags. The area was full of cars. The drive thru wrapped around as driver had to park waiting for their orders. We had to back out of the lot to avoid congestion. And it all seemed to happen quickly after we placed our order.
It's obvious they were short staffed, or worse yet--terribly inefficient! Fortunately, I go to McDonalds twice per year. That was my second trip. My first trip in Carnegie, PA was no better, and they incorrectly prepared my order. Oh well, try again next year!
Perhaps it's all a part of the COVID work...

Read moreWhere do I start? We had stopped at this McDonald's because it was the closest to where we were. Bad choice! There was 4 of us out shopping, we were all hungry, hot, and had to use the bathroom. We walked in to this McDonald's, my children and I got in line to order, while my Aunt headed to the bathroom. Which was blocked off, and she was told it was for employees only. The seating area was blocked off completely. Not staggered, as our county allows (during this COVID-19 thing). As we cross our legs, the wait for our food ( 4 Big Mac large meals) totaling $34.00 (a decent amount for a McDonald's order) took forever. The employees were slow, while the manager sat on her rear in the blocked off area. After we got the food the French fries of 3 orders were half full and the 4th was full but cold. The big mac's were prepared as ordered, but by the time we got somewhere were we could eat them they were cold. In my opinion, it was sheer laziness by the management and employees. Also found out that a working employee has tested positive, next time we'll go down to the McDonald's down the...
