Mcdonald's food is just not the same anymore- present day 2014. This goes along with many other Mcdonald's I have been to throughout my travels. I used to go to Mcdonald's as a kid growing up in the 70's and 80's. And it seemed much better back then-(just saying). Now, in recent years, with my job, I have eaten at many of the Mcdonald's around the globe(USA,Europe,UK,Asia). It seems as though the people working at the ones in the USA don't care about the food they are serving nor the service they are giving. For example:The ones overseas especially in Japan seem to be very polite,they pay attention to detail,and they make sure you have a hot and delicious food service experience. Here in the USA, at the multiple Mcdonald's I have tried eating at (giving these establishments another try and my hard earned cash.) I found they have poor food and poor service and sometimes a bad attitude.Anyway, I will just use 1- "real life"example here: When ordering french fries...This being a staple menu item day in and day out for years with this organization.You would think they would have no problem completing this task.This would mean...making the french fries hot and delicious. In the past when I ordered the french fries as a youngster. The fries were always hot and delicious and served with a smile. Present day 2014- They are are not hot at all,very overly salted,taste like a cardboard consistency and are just plain awful.When I mention this to people such as workers or fellow patrons they just say:"Thats just the way it is..." And furthermore, depending on the time of day or night- workers or patrons have made excuses as to why its my fault for ordering at those times and acting as though I deserve the bad tasting french fries-due to the times of the day that I ordered them. Well, I gotta say... if you cant make them the same way,all day,everyday.Then don't offer this product.I worked in the food business for years and I am a culinary graduate.I'm gonna tell you Its not that hard to do.(the french fry part) the consistency can be very hard to manage day in and day out.(As I'm sure Mcdonald's knows).It doesnt mean it cant be done. Also,when ordering my fries present day (which is very minimal nowadays) I have to specify the words "Can you please, make sure the fries are hot? thank you..." or they will just come out cold and seemingly stale. P.S.-Dear Fry Cook-I hope you can figure it out... Thanks for reading...
Read moreBeing a New Yorker... let me say everyone I interacted with in PA were amazing. They were great and delightful.... everyone except for the employees at this McDonald’s. I came to the drive through and I stayed by the speaker box for about a good 2-3 minutes speaking to myself until I came to the conclusion maybe they were closed. I drive around to exit and I see a car getting their food so I then assumed that maybe their speaker box was broken. I drive up and the lady gives me a price. I tell her I didn’t order yet... she could have taken my order, heck she could have even said sorry sir drive back around. She instead gave me the nastiest look and walked away. Here I am sitting in my car wondering if I should leave or stay. She comes back and took 2 other orders as I waited and let me tell you I wasn’t mad that she was taking other orders, I was mad at her actions towards those orders. As the people were ordering she was making very disrespectful hand gestures and facial expression towards those ordering. Then she finally comes up to me and says “what do you want?” So my wife tells me to calm down so I said fine. I place my order and what does she do? She laughs at me. I ask her why is my order funny and she simply walks away. Comes back another 5 minutes later with my food and the way she gave it to me... I felt like I was trash. I won’t state her name nor will I give a description of her. All I have to say to this McDonald’s is to keep a better eye on...
Read moreanother terrible mcdonalds. I was charged by the kiosk twice.....had to use the kiosk because no one was up front. I originally saw I didn't get the coupon off when I scanned the barcode. a nice woman refunded me immediately. I then took a look at my account because the kiosk had me insert my card twice. first time said approved but no receipt. it then told me to re-insert because there was a problem. checked my bank app and it said I was charged twice. I brought the receipt to Richard, one of the managers. he seemed extremely inconvenienced that I was asking him about this problem and told me it was my credit cards fault and not their machine......how on earth does that work?!?!?! so in the end, I got charged twice....and management wouldn't help. to top it off...he came to where I was sitting to tell me I was wrong and wasn't charged twice, even after I showed him I was charged in my bank app. update: called my credit card, they said I would need to go back to the store to get a refund. upon talking to my bank it turns out I was charged a 3rd time at 3 am. I called the store to speak with the manager but was greated by a josh (said he was the operations manager and there was no one above him but the CEO ) told me I was out of luck and I had to manage my money better.
