McDonald's — Restaurant in Southbury

One of the slower McDs in the region, and considering it has no drive thru, the wait at the counter feels even longer. Clumps of people who don't know where to stand are anxiously waiting for their order number to be called. There is a 'now preparing order number..' board that is never right to add to your frustration (or decrease your boredom). I've noticed over multiple visits that orders are frequently not prepared correctly or passed out in pieces rather than the whole order. There always seems to be one worker who knows what they are doing but moves at snails pace, and another one who moves faster but never knows what he's doing. You can order at the counter, usually one person taking orders, or at one of the 4 touch-screen kiosks. If you order at the kiosk, you won't get your cup to self-serve fill until your order is ready, and if you order at the counter, you won't get your cup unless you ask because for whatever reason, this location never gives you your cup without a prompt. It's weird. There are 2 drinks stations with the standard soda options-no fancy custom coke machines here. There is plenty of seating. The parking lot is dicey. Spaces are narrow, roadway is also narrow, and it is between several other high traffic businesses, so parking is just limited in general. On the other hand, if you're looking for a quick bite, there aren't many speedy choices in town. If McDs is what you're craving, consider driving 5-7 exits west or east for drive thrus in Danbury...

Our recent visit to the McDonald’s in Southbury was an absolute delight! We were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality from the moment we stepped in. But what truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by manager Karla. Karla’s good personality, wonderful smile, and willingness to go above and beyond made our experience enjoyable. She ensured that our order was accurate, and even took some time to chat with us, which was very nice of her. Her attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable. We were also happy with another worker named Edd. He was polite and had a good smile on his face when he brought over our food and told us to enjoy our meal! The atmosphere was clean and inviting, and the delicious food was the best out of all the McDonalds we have ever visited because it was surprisingly hot and fresh, which is hard to find at their other locations. However, the true standout was the exceptional service provided by hard workers Karla and Lena. Their friendly demeanor and welcoming smiles made us feel right at home. They went out of their way to ensure that our order was perfect and we had everything we needed in a timely manner.
