I was initially excited to visit this coffee shop based on its strong Google reviews (4.9 stars) and positive comments about their lattes. As someone who works at a well-known retail coffee shop, I rarely visit local spots, but I was eager to give this one a try.

I arrived at 9:30 AM with the intention of ordering something but had to jump on a Teams call right away at 9:35. About 10 minutes into my call, someone approached me, but since I had my headphones on, I politely said, “No thank you, I’m OK.” Another 10 minutes passed, and suddenly the Wi-Fi went out.

I went to the counter to ask about it, and they informed me that their Wi-Fi is for paying customers only. I apologized, explaining that I fully intended to purchase something but needed to get on my call first. What surprised me most was that they had a sign displaying the Wi-Fi name and password when I arrived, yet that sign had been taken down when the Wi-Fi was turned off — seemingly a deliberate attempt to disconnect me.

I completely understand the need to prioritize paying customers, but this situation could have been handled far better. A simple reminder or polite request would have been much more professional than cutting off the Wi-Fi mid-call. Unfortunately, this left me with a very poor impression of their customer service.

We were pleasantly surprised by this cute little coffee shop! The cold brew and seasonal latte were both well-made and flavorful. The inside has a very cute vibe and by 8:30 all the tables were full. Lots of windows and plants. Some food and merchandise along with a standard coffee menu. The only reason I give 4 stars is that they don’t have any wifi!!! I came here with the intent of getting some work done and could have seen this being a place where I came often to get things done, but sadly will have to find somewhere else. A hidden coffee gem with chic atmosphere and natural lighting. On a Monday morning, I strolled in with only one person inside. So it was quiet. The owner has a kind hearted soul. She was helpful on a difficult order I had for someone else. There’s ‘Coffee of the week’ which I will try next time I’m in town. If you are a Chai guru - this is a great place to get your fix.
