BIBIBOP Asian Grill — Restaurant in Southern Pines

Our second time here. Food and atmosphere are excellent and in a great location next to the recently opened Target. Only setback was the service experience by the worker who demonstrated poor customer service. She appeared irritated, glum and not wanting to be bothered as we were making our order. The second we paid, she awkwardly left our bowl on her side of the counter (forcing us to reach in to get it), and spinning away immediately without any words after thanking her. She looked like she hates her job and hates serving people. She gave us unwelcoming vibes despite us being nice and courteous to her. We've seen her before and she displayed a similar demeanor that time. There is another review highlighting a similar behavior, so I don't think it's just a one off thing. The establishment could probably deploy customer service training with her or staff to provide a better experience for customers in future. We may consider...

Came in today to get me another bowl 🥣 First I must say, they had wayyyyy too much going on and everyone seemed on edge today. It wasn’t as welcoming as it was last week which I understand can sometimes tense in the restaurant business however The Cashier was rude to a little child in front of me who just wanted another lid. And mind you, this lady didn’t have a pleasant look at all 🤦🏽‍♂️ I almost intervened but I held my tongue because why go back and forth with the child, just give her the lid. Also we are aware that some of these toppings cost extra so just give us the toppings please.

My friends and family and I have dined here at Bibibop several times now, including about 15 different bowls for comparison. Overall, the food choices have all been high-quality, though limited compared to a competitor like CAVA, however the chicken was overcooked EVERY time. The beef has been overseasoned every time, and overcooked almost every time. The tofu was always perfect. The other issue is the app. There were several times when we got emails notifying us of rewards that were redeemable in-store, but for some reason the app did not show the necessary code for scanning, so the store would not give us the reward, despite us having the validating emails.
