Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Southern Pines

Great food at a great price. The burgers are great, we love coming here for food every now and again. Their lemonade is quite good. They really ought to have more seating inside. I know they're just getting started out here, but the food generally takes 10-15 minutes to come out. Not sure how that will work once they open up a drive through.

Edit- have been here a half dozen times since they opened. If you use the drive through, it will take 5 minutes to get your food. If you don't, it will take 10-20 minutes to get your food...after using the kiosk to order rather than waiting for someone (anyone) to show up at the front desk. The manager didn't really seem interested in solving problems, either. I truly don't know how something that should be relatively simple (cooking burgers) takes so long. Plus my burger was undercooked today. Probably won't go back; waiting 15 minutes for food with only 5 other people in the restaurant...

My mother and I stopped in for a lunch take-out. Waited several mins at the register. There was a young man behind the grill. He did not acknowledge us. After waiting a few more minutes, he finally said, “he will be with you in a minute.” Not sure who he was referring to because no one else was with him. Eventually, a young lady and older gentleman came out from the back. I hear the young man behind the grill say, “they haven’t ordered yet”. The young lady at first stayed behind the grill and the other man walked over to the side to check his phone. She finally walked over and asked to take our order. I gave her the first order and she abruptly said, “hold-on” walked over to the man who had been on his phone…calling out to him saying, “I need to ask you something”. We continued to wait… and eventually I told her not to worry as we were going to go somewhere else. Our first time there … we won’t...

It’s good but manage your expectations.

Burgers fall between fast food and average priced local dine-in place (ie. Chapmans, Charbar). I’ve enjoyed my BBQ Bacon burger each time and generally look forward to it. I’ve had other more expensive places in the area mess up burger cook temp and toppings so everything around here is hit or miss.

Great tempura green beans but wish there were more for the price.

Fries are average, would prefer 5-Guys or Chick-fil-A for fries.

Service is to be expected given the area and what they’re likely able to pay the staff. Yes, it’s a bit slow sometimes.

Seeing people knock off stars for lack of plates is wild.

Have been here four times with no major issues.
