The food is great, my husband and I carry out from here often.
Dining in however is a completely different story. We came here for dinner earlier to celebrate father's day. I should also note before I give my honest review, I too was a food server for years, its not a difficult job, especially when the restaurant isnt busy.
We waiting almost 10 minutes before even being greated by Rodger and having our drink order taken. Btw he needs to seriously work on his shorthand for taking orders. Our appetizer came out about 15 minutes later, long before our drinks. We had to remind him to bring us water and silverware, he gave us attitude for it. It felt like our meals took forever to come out, when they finally did, my fathers meal wasnt brought out for another 10 minutes and we had to remind Rodger to go and check on it. He rarely stopped by our table and checked on us, we had to flag him down for everything. My father and husband reordered drinks via the mobile machine at our table, we had to ask Rodger to get those, he tried to hand me the beer (Im visibily pregnant). Our dine in experience was not good. As someone who's been a server before I could understand if the restaurant was busy, but it was not. There was no excuse for the lack of hospitality we were shown tonight. I also overheard Rodger and another server arguing with the manager on duty over who would take a 6 top. I highly recommend having a talk with the servers at this restaurant. Chillis has good food and it would be a shame to see this location be replaced by another restaurant because of poor service.
If Rodger wants to know why he was tipped $7 on a $100 check, feel free to show him this review. I HAVE NEVER tipped...
Read moreI recently dined at Chili's in Southern Pines, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment we arrived, the service was slow and inattentive, which set a disappointing tone for the evening.
After being seated, we waited an unusually long time for our server to take our order. When they finally arrived, they seemed rushed and disinterested, which made us feel like an afterthought. We placed our orders, hoping for a nice meal to make up for the wait.
When our food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and not what we expected. My burger was overcooked and dry, despite ordering it medium, and the fries were soggy. My dining companion’s chicken dish was bland and lacked seasoning, making it unappetizing. We had high hopes for a fun meal, but the food did not live up to the Chili's reputation at all.
To make matters worse, we encountered a mix-up with our drinks. The wrong beverages were brought to our table, and when we asked for the correct ones, it took another long wait before they arrived. The entire experience felt chaotic and disorganized.
To top it off, when we mentioned our concerns to the manager, they were dismissive and didn’t offer any solution or apology. It left us feeling undervalued as customers.
Overall, my visit to Chili's in Southern Pines was disappointing. With poor service and subpar food, I don’t think I will be returning anytime soon. I hope they can improve, as I’ve had better...
Read moreHARASSMENT!! My husband and I DoorDash, and we had a pickup for Chili's. He walks in and there is this 16 year old blonde/brunette girl standing at the register thing for pickups. Everything is fine at first, she tells us to wait about 5 minutes and then it's ready. He walks in and she's not giving him the order. She's playing a little game saying oh it's not ready and oh is it yours and so on. He is confused and said I just want my order and she finally gives it to him. After she gave it to him though, she saying stuff like come back and see me and he says he's married and she doesn't stop. This isn't even as bad as it gets, I call and report her for harassment and unprofessionalism and explain the situation to the manager, I believe his name was Will, and I was told they would talk to her. It's now been two days and nothing has been done. She still works there and lying to everyone saying all she did was smile when that is not true. This is absolutely no way to run a business and no way to continuously let your customers get treated! Wasn't there already one guy who harassed someone?? He got fired pretty quickly from what I've heard. Do you not believe women can harass men too? The only way for to handle this is to fire the problem. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED...
