So Happy the owner Jasmine change the name after 7 years to Lavash Grill now only full time Armenian Restaurant in Michigan. You can get all the authentic Armenian foods everyday along with great Middle Eastern too. We had a feast starting with Manti so marvelous, a mega Fatuous Salad n Hot Puffy Bread. A traditional Lahmacun outstanding Delicious 😋. Gata is a lightly sweetened, buttery Armenian cake Oh what a treat. Thinly sliced Dry Black Pepper Sujuk n Bustrama OMG, no other place makes this unique Armenian Meat . My addiction the Armenian Cheese Boreg a must try on your visit. Stay tuned going back soon when new menu is printed. Including my original review to enjoy. Armenians firmly believe nothing bought from a store can compete with home cooking. For them foods made in the kitchen has it's own significance. By undertaking the care, concern n toil in serving, the host is giving part of herself to you. Jasmine the owner Master Chef provides just that. The American Dream after 2 decades as a RN in Armenian her dream came true just a year after the trip to her new country. Place listed as a Middle Eastern eating spot has a weekend unwritten menu that Armenian families travel from around Michigan to eat the joyful dishes of home. This by far a true hidden gem , my greatest find of this year. Yes we visited twice in one week. A 2 hour weekend brunch I asked for everything Armenian you have today. Starting with 2 different Lentils Soups one crushed n one whole who does this no one both outstanding balance of flavor on the menu daily. Large Armenian Salad, Toum, Hot Puffy Bread to share while the main feast prepared. Then BAM OMG think Italian Lasagna mucho better Sou beoreg is made with sheets and sheets of a pasta-like dough and stuffed with a cheesy filling. The silkiness and tenderness of the sheets marvelous 😍. @lavash.grill.southfield #armenianrestaurant #armenianfood #mantı #soubeoreg #lahmacun #gata #sujuk #downriverfriendseat

With an overabundance of Middle Eastern restaurants in the metro area, it's nice to actually see an Armenian-owned restaurant serving the authentic Armenian food I grew up enjoying - not the "Armenian" food from other parts of the Middle East that is passed off as being Armenian these days. That said, Lavash Grill did not disappoint. My friends and I had an all-Armenian lunch, including lahmajoon and souboreg (pictured), dolma, nazoog, and Armenian coffee. Everything tasted as delicious as my ancestors made it, and my two non-Armenian friends were very impressed with their selections. The place is clean, not overly done with gaudy decorations, and the three female employees/owners we encountered were very pleasant - and they spoke Western Armenian, so that was a bonus. Lavash Grill is a hidden gem definitely worth discovering. Abreese!

What a wonderful and pleasant surprise. I understand the Middle Eastern food is very good, however we were told they could make some Armenian dishes that normally are made on the weekends. (The Middle Eastern lentil soup was excellent). Started out with a flatbread dish called Soubareq, which was delicious with a sprinkle of lemon juice. This was followed by a cheese and noodle Labnajoon, which reminds me of a Kugel. Too bad they don't serve wine, because a Gewürtztraminer or a Riesling would have paired beautifully. Finally, we had a dumpling soup called Manti, topped with outstanding Armenian yogurt and sweet, earthy Somak spice. Together with the friendly service and reasonable prices, tonight's impression leave me no choice but to give 5 stars. Yummy!

This was my go to place for Middle Eastern food before I was sidelined by cancer in late 2020. What really stood out about this place was how tasty and fairly priced their food was at the time coupled with the fact that the cooks were all women, which is something of a rarity as it pertains to Middle Eastern restaurants and eateries.

Fast forward to now... After giving several of the Middle Eastern places closer to where I live a try, and disappointingly finding their food to be quite bland and extremely overpriced, I decided to make my way back to Lavash Grill. It really saddens me to say that the tasty and fairly priced food that I so much enjoyed years back is now a thing of the past.

My last two carry out orders were just horrid. Very, very, very small servings for the extremely high amount that I paid, and to make matters worse the food was so bland and tasteless that I got so disgusted that I threw more than half of it away! I thought to myself that maybe the ownership and cooks had changed, but that is not the case at all! Also, for whatever reason the vibe of the restaurant seems off! I most definitely won't be coming back to Lavash...

I tried to leave this privately through your website but the contact form gave an error.

Stopped at your Southfield location for the first time and cannot express my disappointment enough. I specifically went here excited for the fresh pita bread that is shown all over your website.

So many places don't make fresh pita (it was what kept me coming back to La Shish and makes me sad still that they went under).

This location doesn't even have an oven to be seen.... What I got was cut up generic pita I can buy at my local Kroger. On top of it, they were dried out/stale.

That turned out to be ok because the hummous was very bad tasting. I'm not sure if it was old but I have had hummous all over Detroit and Dearborn and love the flavor of chickpea and tahini and this immediately tasted stale or rancid. I through the entire thing out along with the pita.

I don't know if the Novi location is managed better, or if the entire website is falsely advertised, but I will not...
