I use to love a dine in resturaunt, there was a Big Boy in Hazel Park, Michigan 48030, off the Interstate I-75! And would love if their was one near me! There are a few 'mom and pops dine ins' but mainly fast food chains here, and there is a some room here, off the William Natcher Parkway, here in Morgantown, Kentucky, 42261, I am sure, for a nice Dine In \ Take Out, in the heart of Butler County KY! All of much if everything sits in the small town in the middle of the county! Most southern states are like that, and I am sure, the chain could spread through, like covid and hit the major missing links (location areas), of this 'great classic' Eilas Brothers, Home of the Big Burger, eat in or take out diner! I miss seeing, Big Boy, holding it, since I was a child old enough to kniw better till a young adult! You may have some regulars not having it, with their home town, classics Farm Boy or Kuntry Kitchen, resturaunts, but it is not like I hadn't went in and ordered my food there where it's their food chain, or 'any of my choice', and surely, thinking that it will not effect any customers, whom which may, like a variety, to try, lets get ordinary, I try to eat everywhere if I could, but it is big business and not my choice to make, that effect such, but I would not mind food prepared like I was use to! Like a basket, or platter, and the 'classic' 'Checker Style Red and White', parchment type paper, which helped with the messy classic ketchup oozing off a sandwich you 'can' see while you eat, some yse it to tuck in the shirt or lay on the lap, or leave it there like the lawn ornimant you cannot see in your driveway, probably a 50s or 60s model automobile, car or pickup! Collecting bugs and rusting up! Like a paper bowl, easy clean up ball of trash! Oh, wait the freshly served soda! Mm MMMmm! I am waiting for a change! But Still love my home and the freindly people and family, I do have! Stay keeping up the great work and any difficulties just knowing your best when your working hard even if it aint your hardest! Trying does not have to be hard, cause your already hard working that! And being positive is good! Nothing bad about...
Read moreNot the usual Big Boy we frequent. Food was good. When we went in we knew what we wanted to eat. The person who took our order appeared taken aback that we wanted to share the super big boy & fries but I wasn't incredibly hungry & 1/2 of a burger & fries was more than enough 4 me. Also 1 salad bar was ordered & we were reminded a few times in a short time span that we were absolutely NOT allowed 2 share the salad bar. A fact we knew going in, though this must be somewhat of an issue in this location as it was so stressed to us. We ate our meal & did NOT share the salad bar (we never do), though we felt a bit "hovered" over & watched to be sure we didn't share the salad bar. The end of our meal when the lady who helped us brought our check she made some VERY helpful suggestions as to how we can adjust our choices next time we visit & pay close to the same price for our food while having more food if we are so inclined. This is a MUCH appreciated helpful hint. Our total food bill was VERY reasonable for the 2 of us; $17.25.
We don't make it to that area very often, though when we are back in that area we will very likely return to this Big Boy. Though a bit of a not great start the end of the visit was greatly helped by some VERY helpful...
Read moreWe were happy to see that the actual Big Boy menu is back, but our most recent experience was extremely disappointing. First, we ordered mozzarella sticks with a side of ranch, but we received mozzarella sticks with a side of marinara. The marinara was cold and also so old/bad that it tasted carbonated and was literally bubbling at the table. We brought this to our waitress' attention, and we were still charged full price for the appetizer. Then, we found a hair that was definitely not ours in our dessert. Lastly, when we paid, the only tip options when paying by card were no tip, 18%, 20%, or 22%. I did not see an option for a custom tip. The service and experience we had certainly did not deserve an 18% or higher tip. We will not be in any hurry to return to...
