Subi's Place — Restaurant in Southgate

Went on a Thursday, the place was dead. No girls and no one really in there. (Can I give -5 stars)

The cover charge has been 5$ every time I came there in the past (2 months ago was the last). The bouncer was very rude and aggressively telling me the cover was 10$ each.

I know the Jay the manager and told him I usually get in free, which I do if he is there. But he wasn’t there, so I was willing to pay the 5$. He yelled at me and told me they have been charging 10$ since a year ago. I told him I know Jay so and so, he said “I don’t care who you know, I’m the lead bouncer here. 10$ or get out”.

I immediately left and will never return there. The staff is very arrogant and cocky. I’m sure he was just pocketing the extra 5$. Sketchy and unprofessional.

I had the worst experience there I got extorted out of $70 by one of the dancers and she didn't even grind up against me or do anything with me the second I said I'm done she threatened me with the bouncers this place is crazy and they tried to overcharge me for my drinks as well and threatened me when I didn't pay them more it was completely crazy there I would not recommend going here it is not safe and I got roughed up a bit DON'T GO HERE IT'S NOT A SAFE PLACE IT HAS BAD SERVICE AND ALL THE GIRLS ARE NOT PERMANENT THEY'RE FREELANCE I HEAR THE WAY ALL THE EMPLOYEES...

They've got sexy dancers and the bartenders should be on the cover of magazines (seriously... 🙀). Valet is trustworthy, watches after your car, and usually warms it up for you before the end of the night if cold so I always tip them a couple bucks. I saw someone say "drinks are expensive". If you're comparing it to your corner hole in the wall pub maybe but not for any decent strip club. Your best band for your buck is to buy a bucket of beer.
