Wendy's — Restaurant in Southington

We don’t usually dine in but on Saturday morning we decided to go In and relax while having breakfast. We were the only ones inside, It was at 9:15 am. The woman didn’t have the register opened and it took her awhile. We were patient. I thought she was taking our order but come To find out she was on her headset talking. I told Her my order then my husband placed His order and she only rang up his order!!! I had to do my order again. We went to get napkins and the area was covered in dried up ketchup all over!!!!!!! How could this be when we are the first guests? This has to been from the previous night. Disgusting! Then we go to get our drinks and the entire area is splashed with dried up soda All over the machine and area! DISGUSTING!!!!!! Where is the health dept?!??? So now I wonder if this area isn’t being cleaned, how are the actual cooking areas!!!?!!!! Southington Health Dept needs to get On the ball here especially after I read the other reviews. The great Era of consuming natively unhealthy food peaked pre-pandemic and everything after that point has certainly turnt downward for nothing just as the employees and wage-to-Cost of Living ratios, but, I like Wendy's, this one specifically because I grew up in Southington Manor across the street and busted Kickflips off those steps in 1997, but as Cultural erosion and generational gaps occur, I feel less and less comfortable eating at this Wendys because the employees don't have the best personality anymore, like, an employees tone should not change when talking to employees of similarity and people different than them at the register and I know how the soda machine works and excusing accountability for poor ethics has become common place amongst those whom share no ethics with the consumers & end-users of Capitlaist economic structure.

I had a hard time deciding on a score. The interior of this Wendy’s is definitely nicer than nearly almost any fast food restaurant. They have one of those really cool soda machines and it had interesting flavors. But I’m the end neither of those things matter unless you’re eating inside. The food was great in terms of fast food but what really matters when it comes to leaving this review is how poor the service is. The person taking the order was very rude. When trying to make an order I was essentially told what I wanted to eat. When using the numbers on the menu the cashier responded with a different number.(“I’ll have a #5.” “You’ll have #11”.) I fail to comprehend how that can be miscommunicated. As well as this they also try and trick you into upgrading the combo even after saying no. Any requests to add or leave off the burger was ignored. In the end I understand why these adults are still working...
