The Wok — Restaurant in Southlake

In Southlake, we have so so many restaurants but we’ve been really looking to find our favorite Chinese place for takeout. This place is new so we had to check it out. We got our standard order so that we could compare to our current place. I was pleased and impressed with the amount of food and the taste and quality of the food. The crispy beef was very good. The orange chicken was outstanding and one of our favorites. The chicken lo mein was also tasty and we really like the beef, broccoli and fried rice. Overall, we liked all the dishes better than our current place and this is closer and cheaper. The pick up wasn’t 30 minutes, it was only 10 minutes. I decided to stop by after seeing this restaurant on TikTok. The staff was extremely unhelpful and was only telling me what they could not do. I asked if shrimp could be added to the fried rice with the sesame chicken order he said no! I asked if I could get a side of sesame chicken on the side and I would get the fried rice as the entree he said no! He wanted me to pay 30.00 for two entrees which made no since to me! I asked to speak with manager he said there wasn’t one. I ordered from here because I had heard good things from others. I love lemon chicken and was excited to see it on the menu since I’m pregnant and was craving it. The problem was that I received the lemon chicken and it was completely tasteless. The lemon sauce was a gelatinous unflavored mess. It honestly upset me. If you’ve ever been pregnant then you understand pregnancy cravings are NO JOKE and this disappointment almost brought me to tears.
