Learn moreOverpriced for very little protein, they sell more rice than meat. Not the best value for the money in my opinion after eating at dozens of sushi/poke spots in DFW. I always get a sushi burrito when possible, have been here twice. Today was the second time and thoroughly disappointed with the $15 I spent on the burrito with two meats. Plus they have the option for tip when paying which is odd considering no table service like a restaurant.
They only put one SMALL scoop of the meat you choose which is maybe two bites worth, the scoop size is 2 MAYBE 3 tablespoons. You have to ask the staff to spread it out and also ask for more of the additional sides/fillings/toppings and ensure they spread it evenly. If you ask for more protein they charge you more, if you ask for a certain side/topping they charge more. I felt like I had more rice than the important ingredients such as protein. I have been a fan of Sushi Dojo just a 2 minute drive down the road towards 114 that is known for giving you awesome quality food and great quantity. The burrito at Sushi Dojo is very filling with TONS of meat and very minimal rice, very much worth the $15 at Sushi Dojo. Onopoke across the street is also better value for the money especially for anyone looking specifically for poke, they’re no hidden costs/charges there and plenty of protein and sides/toppings.
Poke works is over priced for the quantity of protein you are expecting, my wife had ordered a poke bowl when we came for the first time months ago and had more rice with tiny amounts of meat and sides. They are generous with the rice and sauce but who wants carbs and trans fats as a majority of their intended healthy diet conscious choice. Definitely not returning or recommending especially if I want to make an impression to guests or those who have moved here. The staff is great, friendly and helpful but management seems to be a cheap-o and pinch every penny possibly which...

As I take my first step inside, I shudder at the sheer site of the works. Three strong men catch my eye. I try to make out the words on each nametag, yet I'm forced to get up close and personal with each, making me blush harshly. Each nametag reads "Caleb B" Aydan D" and finally, "Ryan M, Shift Lead." I look up to each one, giving a soft and short smile. I can feel my heart race increase as Aydan stares at me, asking one simple question, "What can I get started for you?" I let out a gasp, clueless of what to say next. He stares at me with such intensity, as if he truly cares of what I order. "Uhm...C-Can I have a number 2? The....Spicy Ahi...With the white rice, please." I let out a sigh, I feel such happiness as Aydan smiles and nods "Of course." He starts making my bowl as I turn to Ryan, the shift lead. He exerts such manliness, I can feel pressure surround me by just the sight of him. "H-How are you? :3" I ask, as I gaze into his eyes. "I'm doing alright." He responds. I feel such happiness explode inside me. I did it. I talked to Ryan. I turn my attention back to Aydan as he finishes my bowl. "That'll be 14.02" He says as he looks back up at me, I blush and look away as I give him 15 bucks and run to my seat. I can't even look him in the eyes, d-do I even deserve to look him in the eyes? Caleb, the short precious man walks up to me "Do you want your receipt?" He asks. How do I even respond? I can feel my heart skip a beat as I nod, looking up at him. "Y-Yes please...Arigato." I start eating my amazing meal, feeling the flavors explode into my mouth. I am definitely...
Read moreI ABSOLUTELY LOVE POKEWORKS.. EXCEPT THE MALE OWNER WILL NOT GIVE YOU YOUR FULL PORTIONS ON TOPPINGS SO PREPARE YOURSELF “FOE” THAT. THE WIFE WILL THOUGH! THEY HAVE A WORKER NAMED CALEB W. WHO IS EXTREMELY PERSONABLE AND LITERALLY MAKES IT WORTH DINING IN IF HES WORKING. HE ACTUALLY REMEMBERS THE REGULARS, AND TREATS THEM WITH SUCH KINDNESS HE SEEMS THRILLED YOU’RE THERE TO EAT (YOU WOULD THINK THIS WAS HIS STORE ON HOW WELL HE TREATS YOU AND HOW HAPPY HE ACTS TO SEE HIS CUSTOMERS). I HATE TO HAVE WRITE THIS BUT ITS VERY TRUE AND MANY OF US WHO EAT HERE ARE SUPER BUMMED WHEN THE MALE OWNER IS WORKING BECAUSE WE LITERALLY HAVE TO ASK HIM TO PUT MORE AND MORE OF OUR TOPPING ON DUE TO HIM TRYING TO GIVE YOU AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE - AND WE/YOU AS THE CUSTOMER ARE PAYING FOR A FULL PORTION! IF YOU CAN SPEAK UP FOR YOURSELF YOU’LL BE FINE BUT ITS THE FACT YOU HAVE TO DO IT WITH EACH TOPPING WITH THIS GUY (I CONSIDER THAT AS RIPPING ME OFF IN MY OPINION and that’s something I’m not putting up with so I just ask for my full portion over and over and he does it.) Hope...
