Went for dinner here with a few others for dinner and we had a fine time. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was prompt, attentive, and very friendly.

Look, the restaurant's whole shtick is fried chicken and massive biscuits. Let's start with that expectation: the chicken is fantastic. Great seasoning, juicy chicken. The biscuits are huge and delicious and the butter and jam that was provided went perfectly with them. So, just along the chicken/biscuit axis, they're already performing bigly.

Chicken and biscuits not your thing? Fear not! They've got options. First up, they do serve forms of chicken that are not fried, so you're covered if that's your thing. Not a chicken fan? Here's an interesting thing about my wife: if meatloaf is on the menu, generally speaking, she's getting meatloaf. Well guess what: they had meatloaf on the menu! One guess what she ordered. It was delicious! The loaf was moist and tender and delicious without being gross and soggy like it can be sometimes, and the glaze had a sweet and spicy flavor that complemented it perfectly.

They also had a fried catfish special that two at our table ordered and it was well received. Chicken pot pie also met with approval.

I got a Mexican-themed fried chicken sandwich that my Mexican wife informed me was named with a cuss word, which was a bit awkward since two of my dining companions were pastors. I don't think they noticed. Nevertheless, it too was delicious. I stole the chipotle pepper from my wife's meatloaf glaze and put it on the sandwich and it was a perfect addition -- kitchen staff take note!

We will undoubtedly be back. Hopefully I'll get more...

I heard about this place recently and we tried it for lunch this Saturday at 12:30. I used open table via google maps to make a reservation while we were on our way since I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were seated immediately when we arrived, and service was polite and efficient. We have a daughter in a wheelchair so I specifically asked for a table that was out of the way so we would not be blocking walkways and was happy to have a good table with plenty of space around it.

We ordered drinks and the garlic fries right away and they were all excellent. The brown sugar lemonade was delicious and I could have eaten the whole plate of garlic fries. It was so good I forgot to take a pic.

We had two adults and two kids and ordered the chicken Benny, chicken & waffle and two kids meals. It was way too much food and we took home so many chicken strips. I almost always order eggs Benedict if it’s on the menu and their take was excellent. My only suggestion for the whole experience would be to add more of the pimento cheese and hollandaise sauce to the Chicken Benny. I asked for extra sauce and it would have been quite dry without it. The pimento cheese was good, but so little was used that it really didn’t contribute to the dish in the way I imagine it was intended. Overall we heartily enjoyed our meal and will have leftovers at least twice. We ended up with 3 go boxes of food and could have easily ordered one less kids meal and still had food to spare. We will be back again to try the regular menu sometime, but brunch...

Came here on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30 and was seated right away. Started off with the pickled jalapeño pimento cheese. It was just ok. The pepper jelly just gives it a strange taste and consistency. I think it would be much better served without the pecans and pepper jelly. If it had a jalapeño flavor at all it was hidden by all the other things going on in addition to the flavored crackers it comes with, just too many flavors that don’t go together well. For my entree I ordered the Sir Mix A Lot with butter garlic fries instead of potato salad or slaw. The chicken was great. Came out fresh from the oil so had to let it cool down a bit. Nice thin crispy breading and flavorful chicken. The butter garlic fries sounded way better than they ended up. Turns out I don’t really care for a strong butter flavor on my fries. The taste would go much better on popcorn or corn on the cob in my opinion. The huge biscuit with butter and peach jam was probably the best part of the meal. My wife ordered the chicken and waffles and they were great. Four really big tenders fried nice and crispy with a good flavored breading with a really good waffle. Just order the maple syrup as the jalapeño syrup is just weird. It just seemed like artificial jalapeño flavoring mixed with syrup. If I go again I’ll definitely get the chicken and waffles with...
