I'm a vegetarian and read online that Carl's Jr offered an avocado burger without the meat. When I got the sandwich, it had meat on it, so I called back to let them know of their mistake. As a vegge, I am totally used to this sort of thing happening when eating out. Happens all the time. No big deal! I just let them know, and they remake the food.
The woman who answered the phone was very rude about it, insisting I was wrong and the sandwich was made correctly. She told me Carl's Jr. does not offer any vegetarian alternatives and never makes this kind of food without meat. I was surprised at her reaction. I asked her if there was something she could do about it, and she (defensively) suggested I could talk to the manager, which I opted for.
The manager seemed to have no idea what he was doing at all. He didn't offer any sort of compensation or seem to understand what exactly his position was at the company. While on the phone with the manager, I could clearly hear the woman in the background complaining about me to him, sounding very upset and using somewhat offensive language. Finally, he asked me if I wanted a refund. I told him that would be perfect. He said I would have to bring the food back in order to get a refund.
I took the sandwich back and was given a refund by a very nice cashier, who said I could keep the sandwich (and I gave it to a co-worker). She also told me she had never heard of the meal without meat and had me text her a screen shot of Carl Jr's website (I showed her the site on my phone).
Overall, it was just a poor experience. The customer service was horrible and very frustrating. Like I said, this happens to me pretty often, so it's not really that upsetting -- but I do expect to be compensated for...
Read moreHours posted both online and on the doors to the store said open until 11pm. I pulled up to the drive thru at 9:37pm and the drive thru operator came on the intercom asking "what can we get started for you tonight?" So I said I wanted to western bacon cheeseburgers sandwich only, and I didn't get a reply for a minute. Then finally the same operator says "I'm sorry we're currently closed". That was it, nothing more. Wouldn't respond to my questions after that. I pulled up to the window and nobody was visible, and no sign was posted saying special hours or anything. In fact, it had the hours posted clearly showing open until 11pm. I pulled around to the main door to the dining room to see if there was a special hours sign there, but there was not. Just the same hours sign stating open until 11pm. I saw a couple of other cars pull into the drive thru at that point and decided to follow them, and suddenly the person in the mustang had their order taken. The next person right in front of me had the operator ask "what can we get started for you this evening?". The person ordered, and didn't get any response from the operator after that despite saying "hello?" repeatedly. When he drove off, I pulled up to the window, I could see 4 employees inside making milk shakes and laughing, but nobody would...
Read moreToday October 11th 2023 we went in to get a famous star Burger because we think it's just such a great deal for the money. The sandwiches were done and sitting there ready to go but no one was putting them in a bag to give to us. My husband asked the manager two or three times could you get me those sandwiches they're ready and he kept saying oh we're really busy. Okay really? Well it would take you like 10 seconds to grab two sandwiches, put them in a bag and hand them to him. Just the way he was treated when he was in there just made him really upset and now he doesn't want to go there anymore. You're busy I get it but there's no excuse for that. You can stop for 10 seconds and put two sandwiches in a bag it's not going to kill you. That's your job.The manager was helping people behind us that came after us not before us. If you don't want to serve people because you think that they're not spending enough money then you shouldn't be offering the sandwich for $2 because that's a customer is a customer no matter how much they...
