We came into your restaurant tonight because I received a $25 gift certificate at work from my boss. The waitress said we could not use it because we had ordered a special. IT SAYS NOTHING ON THE CERTIFICATE ABOUT SPECIALS. IT DOES, HOWEVER, SAY "USE SAME AS CASH". I asked to speak to the manager who rudely spoke down to us like by using this we had purchased a discount voucher. No this is a GIFT CERTIFICATE AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS CASH AND IF YOU CAN'T USE IT WITH SPECIALS THEN IT SHOULD SAY SO!. I am so frustrated. You enticed us to come into your store on a weeknight when we would not have normally come, also we brought our neighbors who spent about 45 dollars. They also would not have come in. So then we happen to have a little 10$ coupon that we tried to use instead, same story. This is a text book bait and switch move that I would expect from a used car dealership but not from a local pizza joint.
The waitress and manager especially, were so rude and unwilling to work anything out. It was obvious this issue had come up before because they were both very defensive about it.
Is it really worth it to save a few dollars and lose several lifetime customers? (Neighbors Included)
The manager and waitress treated us like we were doing something dishonest. I can understand not being able to use this with another coupon, however, the first line of words on the paper says, "USE SAME AS CASH." It was completely embarrassing, like getting your credit card declined. We would have been willing to pay the full price of the meal not using the special but the manager was unwilling to compromise in fact he threw up his hands and shook his head as he walked away from our table. So unprofessional. You should not be sending out such gift certificates or coupons if you are not going...
Read moreWe were very disappointed with our experience at The Pizza Factory Spanish Fork tonight. It took well over 10 minutes for a server to come to our table for the first time. If it's a busy night, be prepared for it to be very loud in the restaurant. When our server finally brought drinks, there was a small fly in one, and we also saw another bug crawling across our table. I have serious doubts about the cleanliness of this location.
We enjoyed our bread sticks, but when we got our pizzas, one of the pizzas we received was not what we ordered. Our server never came back to check on us, so I talked to the person at the front desk, who sent our server back to our table. When I explained the problem, she just said that we received what she had written down. There was no apology. Clearly she misheard me (likely because it was so loud in there), but this is why servers should be trained to repeat the order back to the customer. She offered to have the kitchen make us what we actually ordered, but we were so fed up with the experience we didn't want to wait for the correct pizza. There were no offers to comp or discount the incorrect order.
After eating we once again waited a long time hoping our server would reappear so I could ask for boxes and the check. I finally had to ask the front desk to send her back to our table. We were at the restaurant for nearly 2 hours, and most of that time was spent waiting.
I understand that these are young kids (likely high school or perhaps college) working, but the wait times and lack of customer service was so poor that we won't be...
Read moreOh man. So we get there and wait almost 5 minutes to be acknowledged and given a table. We were a party of 8 and at least 4 workers looked at us but did not come over. That should have been our second sign (the first being the run-down building The Pizza Factory is in).
When we sat down I let the server know that we were pretty hungry and if they could bring the breadsticks first and our two pizza's later, that would be perfect. I also said we wanted our pizza nice and golden and leaning to well done.
Well, they brought the pizza first and apologized for not bringing our breadsticks as we had asked but they said they had been 'stolen'. I understand that happens in the back sometimes. The pizza was totally white on the bottom so we asked if we could get it well done.
Then they finally brought our breadsticks. Guys - they were completely doughy. Just our luck I guess. So we sent those breadsticks back for fully cooked ones. Then we received our second pizza which I will attach a photo of. Totally doughy in the middle. By that time we were so ready to just be finished that we just decided to eat it anyways and go home.
Through the course of the meal we had multiple flies we were constantly batting away. We found three...THREE eye lashes (or eyebrows...Lord help me) on the pizza. Oi. The tables are old so they have a layer of grime that leaves much to be desired. The outside of the building tells you what your experience on the inside will be like. And I'll leave it at that. Don't ignore the signs and you'll come...
