Today me and my friends went to the Spanish Fork McDonald's and ordered a small order that would have likely, under normal circumstances, taken minimal time to prepare. However, the establishment was very crowded during our stay. This is no fault of the restaurant, and I am not claiming it is. The employees all at very least appeared hardworking and were doing as good a job as possible given the circumstances. The clear problem is management. Their way of organizing orders was confusing and led to more delay and frustration. Our first interaction with a leadership member (I assume her as such, as she wore a different uniform and acted as if in a position of authority, although I may be wrong) was quite poor, to say the least. She came to the front counter, where a large clump of people had formed waiting for their, saw a man on his phone and accused him of filming the employees. I cannot confirm or deny he was filming, I didn't notice him until she yelled at him. However, she claimed filming in the establishment was illegal and asked him to leave. Establishments in the United States are within their rights to ask a customer to leave and charge for trespassing should they not, but filming people in a public place with no expectation of privacy is legal and this false legal claim should not be repeated. The manager then threatened to call the police should the man in question not "stop", with the meaning of this demand I suppose being left up to interpretation whether it being directed at his filming or his position of being at the establishment. In any event, I waited over an hour for my food, watched this angry manager berate this man and proceed to, from what I could see, do nothing else except wander around the kitchen. I appreciate all the hard work the employees at this McDonald's do--I personally have had to deal with lackluster or disrespectful bosses--but the bosses themselves are obviously a massive problem and either need to come to their senses or be replaced with more competent management. In any case, I will not be returning to this particular McDonald's, and discourage any who would visit it to find somewhere else to eat. Again, much luck to the unfortunate employees, many of whom are minors and/or members of minority groups, and every hope that soon this management problem will...
Read moreWhen I was pregnant and had super senses. I had an ice-cream cone from McDonalds and an ice-cream cone from Arttic Circle the McDonalds one tasted strait up like melted plastic in Ice-cream form. I couldnt eat it. (most people dont have hightened senses so Im sure people just taste the sugar and it tastes good) I tried the ice-cream cone from Arttic Circle right away after that plastic tasting cone to see if my taste buds just tasted ice-cream as plastic but nope the Arttic Circle one tasted like actual Ice-cream it was so delicious to me. That moment changed how I veiw McDonalds. I have since tried more stuff at McDonalds and it just doesnt measure up to other fast food. McDonalds food is probably made of the plastic trash they wanted to figure out how to sell so I feel cheated buying from there. That being said, no judgment, if your eatting there you probably already know its not great for you but you have a reason for going back. Likely nostalgia, I get that too with other stuff. And that nostalgia feeling is strong and just makes you feel the cuddly blanket feeling as a child. So Im not saying to stop eatting here, just maybe you might want something a little higher value for the money. If its cheap, its cheap for a reason. Other fast food equals to about the same price once you have gotten all the food you want, sometimes it equals the price of other non-fast food restraunts. I did test this and I encourage you to do the same. Anyway no guilt! Just maybe question it? Plastic is cheap and maybe wasnt made to find its way into your belly? Idk only you would know the answer to that. Keep being awesome ya all! I hope this...
Read moreI tried to be civil and write a review through their app but their process was too difficult so I guess I have to make a public review now. One time when I went to this McDonald’s the drive thru person stared at me for a long time and then started to charge me even though I had made a mobile order and already paid. But the real reason I am reviewing this McDonald’s is because today I went in and I had made another mobile order because I didn’t have my wallet on me and it seemed simple to just pay using my phone. Knowing that Spanish fork has a reputation for unkind people I for some reason went to this McDonald’s and they didn’t give me the condiments I had ordered through the app. They only gave me a barbecue and a ranch sauce which was too little considering that I had made a 40$ order and I had a twenty piece chicken nugget which came with three sauces. I didn’t realize until I got home and I really wish I would have checked my bag when I got it although the lady working just hurriedly said “thank you” before I could ask if everything was there or before I could check the bag so I left and as I was distributing the food to my family I saw that they had forgotten my condiments. I live in Springville so it’s not like I can just make a short drive to ask them for the sauce that They missed. And I’m pretty upset because I used to work at another McDonald’s and I know that they are supposed to communicate with the customer if they can’t fulfill an order instead of just sending out an...
