Have to say I don't expect to much from a fast food restaurant especially at midnight but I do expect from a national chain that they would uphold there same standards during there "late night" hours as during there "regular " hours. As I make my living in the restaurant industry I understand that A) working a grave shift can suck from being completely dead for 2 hours to slammed in a matter of minutes but it seems there is no standard in the smallest terms of food quality in that time I.E. Ge it out get them gone, I ordered 2 meals tonight and when I got home I grabbed a couple of frys and went to eat them and agiajn not expecting to much but would hope for a semi hot fry instead got an ice cold one, yes I understand that frys don't last long staying hot on your drive home but when you live less than 5 minutes away there is no way those frys were "hot and fresh" to begin with and as far as there "fresh never frozen" burger patties which could very well be true but the one thing they do not tell you is that they have been cooked 4 hours ago and just hang out in a little hot box that I'm sure is not being monitored or cared about. Again I don't expect much when I got to a fast food place after 10pm but I would hope that the managers and owners would hold there employees to a certain food standard and mentality that if they wouldn't eat it don't serve it, but unfortunately that is not the case and as a manger or owner of this place I would be completely ashamed that's assuming that they give a damn of this swing of service, I've been there during the day and "normal" hours and it's been pretty good but what I paid for and got served tonight was terrible. Everything i got was cold and soggy, the burger patties were curled up from sitting for so long and drying out the frys were cold as ice and haven't seen a fryer in at least 30mins. I'm sure nothing will come from this comment but as a manger In the industry this was an awful experience and I truly hope none gets sick from the lack of care that was put into the meals...
Read moreUsually we enjoy our trips to Wendy's, but tonight we had a bad experience. Came through drive-thru right around 10 P.M., which is when they close the lobby. Food was a bit slow, but not too bad.
However, in their rush to move through the line, they didn't give us a straw. after feeling pressured to get out of the line, I checked the bag after moving forward and around the building, and realized that we didn't have a straw. I figured "oh well, no big deal" and just went to go inside to help myself to a straw.
Well, it was 10: 03 pm, and the doors were both locked... I knocked quite heartily on the doors, for several minutes, but all the patrons and workers inside ignored me. Finally, out of desperation I simply walked straight up to the drive-thru window, and asked for a straw, while getting a "this guy must be crazy" look from the attendent.
I was a bit peeved and embarrassed at having to go through all of this, but then I got really ticked off when I got back to the car and realized we also didn't get a spoon for our Frosty!?! I drove away quite mad, and wasn't about to go through the long drive-thru line, which looks like it might have taken 20 minutes to get through, and I didn't want them thinking I was a real psycho walking back to the drive-thru window. 😅
Anyway, I only hope that this review helps Wendy's realize that even if things are busy, you really need to make double check your orders before you give them to people, otherwise you're going to create extremely frustrating situations like I just experienced. Everything else about our order was good, but those two minor details of a missed straw & spoon kind of ruined the experience for us,...
Read moreI get that the industry is struggling to find good help, and things happen... but my recent visit was embarrassing. I ordered our food from the app, arrived , went to the pickup counter, and didn't see any food yet. No problem, they are busy, so I'll wait. 30 minutes go by and nothing yet. I approached the counter again and asked someone if my order was going to be made, and the guy at the register asked me my name, and I told him. He didn't look to see if he had the order but then asked what I had in my order. I told him, and then he looked at me like he didn't hear a thing. I then showed him on my app the receipt so he could see what was on my order, and he acted like he couldn't read it (possibly couldn't). He asked if he could show the cook my phone so they could make my order and they started preparing the order... Or so I thought. I had 2 kid meals and 2 combo meals. They put all of the sandwiches/ burgers in 1 bag (including the kid meal burgers) and then gave me the bag. I told them they were combo meals and kid meals, and they needed fries with drinks. I had to tell them 4 times until they gave me what the meals needed... in a big bag. I asked for kid meal bags and the kid toy that goes with them. That took another 3 tries to get that right. Eventually, they gave me all of my food in 2 bags, and I prepared them in their own respective bags and then grabbed my drinks from the fountain and left. I was cordial and professional, but this visit was ridiculous. I suggest you go through the drive-thru or don't go at all. The staff wasn't helpful at all. 45 minutes to get an online order when it wasn't busy inside...
