Double D's Burger — Restaurant in Spanish Fort

We ordered lunch here after continuously hearing good things. We got the Cowboy Double Burger and Double Bacon Egg Burger, as well an order of Garlic Parmesan Fries. Both burgers were massive, we were not expecting such large burgers for smash burgers. The burgers were some of the best in Baldwin, 10/10. The bacon was flavorful and the runny egg made the bacon egg burger even better. The onion rings complimented the barbecue sauce well on the cowboy burger. These are definitely my style of burger, with good caramelization of the patty and lots of meat-to-bun ratio. The side fries are hand cut fries that were seasoned well. The garlic parm fries were kind of mixed for me, because they had so much garlic they tasted more like an Asian dish than fries; I will definitely try the cheese fries next time. I’m not sure why this place has good reviews. The atmosphere is soooooo disgusting. Extremely gross tbh. It’s not even in the slightest clean. The food is like bowling alley food except way over seasoned. The kids grilled cheese was straight up rosemary and Italian seasoning or something. Was so bad. The fries suck. The onion ring on the burger was so mushy. The lettuce was flat and not fresh feeling at all. I ate half and threw the fries away. Was so bad. So my husband and I decided to go out this evening to get some dinner and we decided to try out Double D’s Burger 😊! We both had the Smash Double Burger and the Garlic Parmesan Fries and y’all it was so good 🤤! If you like handmade food that’s good then please come on out and give them a try! Love the outdoor atmosphere and location it was a little chilly out but they have a fire table for you to keep warm on those chilly days! We cannot rave enough about the Garlic Parmesan Fries though as they were are favorite!
