Newk's Eatery — Restaurant in Spanish Fort

The food was amazing but the girl who took our order was not...No greet, no thank you, and she got my husband's order wrong. The atmosphere was okay but it was so loud we couldn't even hear ourselves talk.

Editing to show that we haven't been back since the day I wrote the review and this time the service was even worse. When we walked in, there was a guy stocking something in the front who clearly saw us but didn't move so we could get to the counter or even speak to us. When we got to the counter, it was the same damn girl from last time with no smile, no greet...nothing...just looked at us and waited for us to speak. I seriously doubt I can get the husband back after this. We come from a time when common courtesy was not only normal but expected...and we will give our money to the places that still...

Very horrible don't waste your money we had a problem with the cake we had ordered for our mom for her birthday and it had a hair in it. Her birthday was ruined. We had called and spoke to the manager Kim and she said to come in and they would take care of a meal for us once we got there there was another manager Who was unwilling to help us with anything so we ended up paying for our meal and everything was horrible The pizza was soggy and wet and had a very bad flavor The cold cut sandwiches were awful the bread was very stale. I did not even bother to tell the manager that our food was not any good because I knew she would not do anything to help. Now I am in at $100 for food and cake that needed to go in...

We have really liked this restaurant in the past but today's visit was a big disappointment. We had chicken salad sandwiches which did not have some of the ingredients listed on their menu. Also, our chicken salads were reeking with way, way too much mayonnaise. We could see that the chicken salad was made in a very large batch. Perhaps it needed stirring to make sure that all servings had the listed ingredients. As for ambience... their ceiling had open spaces in ceiling tiles with obvious repairs maybe in progress or needing to be. The furniture is badly in need of sprucing up or needing to be replaced. Hope that next time will be a better experience as in the past when we loved...
