I came here on a recommendation from a friend. I tore my Achilles’ tendon playing soccer last week. My calf muscle is completely limp. I am non weight baring and of course using crutches. Came here trying to pick up breakfast for my partner. My partner was at work. Both my partner and I are in boots. I put in my order at 10:26am. My order was scheduled to be ready at 10:41am. I arrived and parked at 10:42am and called the store. A female answered stating that the food would be brought out to me. I sat in the car and I waited. I saw people coming in and out. Kept wondering where I was in this queue. Finally I hobbled inside. Apparently, no one could help me. I came back out waited some more maybe I was just being impatient. If it was me, I would have been whatever but my partner has to work all day and has not eaten. Called at 11:23am to cancel the order. Someone stated that they would be right out with the order. No one tried to make it right. Good customer service would have been like “hey, sorry you didn’t have a great time here is coupon and i hope you give us a second chance”. None of that happened. California IHOP is 1,000x better.
I can’t even say this is the first time they have messed up my food. I ordered a hot chocolate from them and never received it with my order.
Finally, I receive my food. The food was cold. The hash browns and the pancakes were meh. For the quality of food and the price, I could have went to QT. Saved myself $14. Even though QT will also serve me cold food with melted cheese on top, at least they have microwaves to let me warm up the food. At least if I go to Denny’s, Cracker Barrel and even Waffle House on a Friday night. I get great quality every time. Shame, their loss. I normally tip well $15-20 when I go to Waffle House on a Friday night. I don’t really drink or party post COVID.
Why do the people who are sitting get priority? People who have 2 fully functioning legs and who are able to cook for themselves. If you are trying to grab food on the go, it is likely that you have somewhere else to go. It would make sense to care for the people who are working.
The sad part is that I went to 3 different places and got horrible service because no one wants to help. No One was empathetic. No one can hold a door for me? No one can offer a place to sit? I just wonder what you all do for permanently disabled people. I just have to suffer temporarily for a few months to a year.
Why are the handicapped stalls always the furthest away if you have trouble walking? Equality for all.
TL;DR I came here on crutches, called 2x after waiting 40-50 min for food. I received food that was poor quality and cold. Regret coming here. Posting this review so I remind myself not to come back. Thank you for coming...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I have eaten at this particular Ihop on many occasions. We have also treated people from our family and church to breakfast with us on many occasions. We had stopped coming to this location pre-Covid because it had started lacking in the quality of food and the quality of the staff was also undesirable. Once we heard that it had reopened after being closed for Covid, we decided to give them another try. We were very impressed. Our service and meal were fabulous. We were also greeted by a gentleman who was the new manager . At different times we would be greeted by him or another female manager. And were made to feel welcomed. What a difference this Ihop had become. We began making this our go to spot again. So about every two weeks we would eat here. Until now. The last 3 times we have went in service and food have been horrible. We understand that every restaurant is having problems finding employees and we have no issue with having to wait a bit for service and food. But these last few visits we have had to wait on your server to finally come to your table after they have been outside smoking for 15 minutes(she was on her phone and smoking as we walked in), getting food before our drinks, no syrup until my husband had to get up and go to the front to ask for some, employees screaming and singing in the back as if they are having a party, no drink refills, having to wait on our bill for over 20 minutes(because this time a different server was outside smoking , we watched her from where we were sitting out the window), being told they forgot to put our order in. So many negative things happened over our last few visits. On our last visit we asked to speak to a manager only to be told by the girl waiting on us that she was the manager. Shocked . Astounded. When asked if there was anyone else we could speak to we were told that there is another manager that’s suppose to be working but she didn’t show up for work. The next morning I called to speak with a manager so I could discuss our issues but were once again told that the manager wasn’t there. I’m beginning to wonder if this location now has any actual managers. And honestly by the way things are going at this Ihop now, I don’t believe there is. Once again I know things are hard and short staffed, but these issues have nothing to do with having little help. These issues are the employees that are working there and lack of management. I am leaving this review in hope that Ihop gets in touch with this location and finds out what is happening there in order for things to be this bad. I will not recommend this Ihop to anyone and sadly will not be giving it another chance....
Read moreAbsolute worst experience I have EVER had at an IHOP. If you're thinking of eating here, don't. Go to the one on the west side instead. When my wife and I arrived around 4:20, there was one other couple in the restaurant (so definitely not busy). We were seated, and had already figured out what we wanted before the waitress approached our table. I ordered the Salisbury Steak meal with mashed potatoes and a side salad as the side items. My wife ordered the crispy buttermilk chicken filet dinner with fries and Mac & cheese as sides. I even pointed on the menu to the Salisbury Steak meal because when I told the waitress what I wanted she initially repeated it back to me incorrectly. We waited 40 minutes for our food...and they brought out absolutely nothing that we ordered. They brought me sirloin tips, with a side of pancakes (???), and brought my wife a chicken sandwich. The waitress and assistant manager quickly apologized, and went to remake our food. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, the food we ordered finally arrived at our table. My salad consisted of a handful of wilted romaine leaves, 4 tomato slices (one of which was inedible due to having a large portion of the white core part in it) and a couple onion slices. My Salisbury steak was TOUGH (please explain to me how that even happens?!). I have literally had better Salisbury steak from the Oncor and Banquet frozen meals. And my mashed potatoes were separated, one part was dry and looked bubbly, and underneath was a puddle of what I initially thought was white gravy, but turned out to be just extremely runny potatoes. My wife said her Mac and cheese (which was on the menu as "sharp cheddar Mac and cheese) tasted like Velveeta shells and cheese. The fries were ok, and the first piece of chicken she ate was good. But when she got to the second piece of chicken, she realized that it was, in fact, the piece of chicken that had been on the sandwich they had incorrectly brought out initially. (It's a completely different type of chicken). Oh, and the pancakes they had brought out with the sirloin tips we didn't order, they insisted that I keep/enjoy them. After the disaster of a meal I figured ok, it's IHOP, the PANCAKES at least have to be good... right?! Wrong! Even the pancakes were tough and dry. And on top of all this, the soda was flat. And sadly, all of this garbage excuse for food cost us over $40. I will never set foot in that IHOP again, and neither should...
