This review is about Anvil Coffee's roasted whole beans. I have for years purchased roasted whole beans from Thomas Hammer at their roasting facility. I did this to obtain coffee beans which were as recently roasted as possible. I have been looking for an alternative to Thomas Hammer for the last few months without success. A few days ago, I was at a Rocket Market and one of the employees pointed out that Anvil Coffee delivers beans that were roasted a day or two before they are delivered. (I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to preparing our morning espresso. We have a Baratza 270 grinder, a pressure release tamp, and a two boiler espresso machine.)
