Is this place a scam or an actual business? My order was canceled 30 minutes after I got the confirmation email. I tried to find out what happened and the person at the local store was super unfriendly and just kept telling me I'd get my money back and that I could "contact the help desk" if we don't like that it's canceled. I said that we have ordered here many times through the app and it was a weird experience, especially when we already spent 30 minutes thinking dinner was on the way. The person at the local store just told me "you're not in my system, contact the help desk" in a wooden voice and then hung up. I then spent over 40 minutes trying to speak with someone in customer service. This outside answering service kept answering when I tried to call the local number back; and said the local store itself had canceled it, but they don't have any information about why, and I shouldn't worry because if my card was charged I will get my money back. I got no email saying the order was canceled, and it will take 3-5 business days for the $50 refund according to the answering service. This whole experience was so strange and unpleasant and I don't understand why everyone sounded angry on the Papa John's end. Also, there is literally no way to give feedback through the app once the store cancels the order, no "help desk" that I could uncover. I finally gave up after the local store hung up on me more than once. I will probably never order from here again. Terribly negative experience with no explanation, for no reason I could find. We try to be generous and tip at least 25% every time. I wasn't even angry or demanding a refund, I just wanted to understand what happened & to eat dinner. So strange. :( Order was placed 3 hours before it closed...so it couldn't have been too close to closing. I'll be deleting the official PJ...

But our last experience with the customer service and billing issue has left us feeling as though we can not trust this store with our Credit card. I ordered 2 pizzas online and an error occured with their site and they sent 2 orders for the same pizzas under my name, one for a cash order and one for a credit card order. Instead of calling and asking they sent the driver out with the cash order since they were confused as to why their system had two orders for me. When he arrived at the pizza well over an hour later he said he had to take cash and the other order that was credit card (which is how I was wanting to pay) would be canceled. So I had to go dig out cash. The next day I saw they still charged my card and I had paid over $70.00 for 2 pizzas. I contacted them right away, and they asked me to call later. I did so and the "manager" said she would call me back. After no call and no refund I called them again. The "manager" said that they could NOT refund my card & I would have to call my bank and report it. After I explained I would have to cancel my debit card and thats not an option she said they were busy so I would have to come and get my refund. When my husband got there to pick up the $ the "manager" said "we could have refunded your card" Thanks for telling me this after I drove all the way there & asked for this repeatedly! I was hoping they would make it good by offering a discount on my next pizza, but we didnt even get a good apology. WE WILL NEVER ORDER...
Read more7 teenage boys at home ordered three large pizzas from the Argonne and Sprague store while my wife and I went out for a couple hours. Upon returning home found one pizza not eating because it was burnt on the bottom notice the other pizzas in the bottom of the other two boxes and they were burnt as well. they were told over the phone when they ordered their pizza then it would take 45 minutes for delivery and surprisingly they received it in 5 minutes. I don't know why the pizzas burnt considering that this specific location is only two blocks from my residence. now I called and told them about my situation and they don't want to do nothing but give me a one pizza credit! I believe they owe us three pizzas and they can come back and pick up the remainder of their burnt pizza. these are teenage boys and didn't really care if they were burnt however my wife and I wanted to eat our dinner and enjoy it when we came back from our evening out and the pizza was burnt so now I'm standing up and holding this position and the manager whose name is Michael told me that he was only going to replace me with one pizza. I've been ordering pizzas from this particular Papa John's 4/8 years and this is the first time I've ever gotten such terrible pizza from this particular location. now I want to contact corporate headquarters and can't seem to find a number and they won't even give it to me over the phone!
