Shadle McDonalds (Spokane, WA) approximately 22 minutes ago (drive time, sorry). I had just dropped off my daughter at the Rite Aid so she could run her errand in there. I had gone through the drive thru and ordered a 10-piece McNugget meal with a medium iced tea to drink and one cheeseburger. I paid for the meal and extra burger with my card at the first window, got my card back. I pull up to the second window moments later, I am handed the meal and the gal began to close the window so I wait a moment for my drink, she sees me, opens the window back up and asks if there’s something wrong. I said “nothing wrong, just waiting for the medium iced tea.” She immediately snapped “well, do you have your receipt?” I wasn’t given one to begin with (getting a receipt back is rare), looked for one, but only had my card, looked again to be sure as I explained that I wasn’t given one. Mind you- it’s only been 30 seconds from when I paid. The gal snaps- well I can charge you for one if you want a drink.” I said I don’t need to pay for a second drink, I’ve already paid for the full combo, so I’ll just wait for the tea.” She looks up at the little computer above her head and says “Well- there isn’t a drink on there, so yeah- sorry.” And closed the window. Couldn’t even give me the time of day to finish staring my defense, so I head around the corner, park my car in their lot. My daughter has since rejoined me and gets into the car. I then use her phone to call up and ask for the manager’s name (Mindy) and so far- nothing. Sweet customer service. With the extra time, I’ve since started typing out this review and am currently standing in the lobby- still on hold (using the spare time to keep the updates going). There are two folks have already served and are waiting off to the side, three more in line/ ordering. I’ll be on hold for awhile, I’m assuming. I’ve spotted the manager- she’s not exactly “rushed”, not very busy right now. Clock says 1:42 and I’m still waiting for someone to pick up the phone… can’t wait to update you all once they figure out I’m standing right here in front of them in the lobby. It’s going on 28 minutes from the point I paid for my order as I write this. If anything, I will show my bank card transaction for the purchase and upload the dashcam with the audio to prove the rudeness and laziness of the employees. I know, I know- all over the stolen cost of an iced tea. But- theft is theft. I paid for an item, and they kept it. Didn’t even offer to check for the purchase, didn’t go and check with the other order-person, didn’t even bother. Moving on- good fries, good McNuggets, good cheeseburger. Would have been even better if I was able to wash it down with my iced tea that I paid for. Apparently they needed the money I paid more than I needed the tea. Will update soon. Still waiting. I’m sneaking into the play center and claiming the top of the slide as my own. One can only assume SPD might arrive. Fingers crossed. Update: they hung up, so I called again, have been placed on hold “for a moment” while the employee located the truly illicit manager. For some reason I immediately imagined this turning into a wildlife safari-type thing. Will update once the game warden/manager is spotted. Update: I’ve claimed my spot up here at the slide and my daughter is positioned in the round plastic window of the next tube over. We are running low on supplies but have enough heart to see this through. Am hoping I made the right decision to stand against the tea theft. I not only do this for myself and family- I do this for my community. Please pray for us. Update: I haven’t seen the sun in sometime. My thirst for tea has gone unquenched for too long and I’m wondering if my health and sanity are worth losing. I can’t give up. I’m too vested- WE are too vested. Update: Lost all contact with my daughter and the outside world. After fighting off the last of the cannibalistic midgets, I’ve since moved my operations, preparing for my death. SPD searched, but didn’t locate me. They have disconnected the store phone. Will...

On December 19th, 2024. The person taking the order at the windows was so nice and friendly. The person handing out the order's at the window, that's another story. She was so extremely rude to me and was yelling at me and gave me such a rude lecture on how I was wrong about missing a kids fry from my order. Just a baby fry. I've seen it all but this was over the top. Super explosive and then the other members around her joined in as well after getting amped up by their coworker. There was one other nice girl with a headset on with black hair that seemed to not want to be involved and I felt bad for her. This was the worst experience I have ever had and the rude worker said her name was "Leslie". I couldn't believe it. I was just trying to get my kids their meals and didn't want any sort of drama. I even said I'd pay if they missed it over and over again. That I was sorry and I didn't want to upset anyone. They did not care an kept yelling at me. Management should check the camera and fire Leslie because that was so not ok. She looked out of it as well and like she was under the influence or possibly on drug's. She also looked miserable being there. I know fast food is hard and I understand because I've worked in fast food myself but I would of never acted this way to a customer. If she's unhappy there then she should leave not take ot out on...
