Edit: I had to lower my review from 5 stars to 3 stars because of my most recent experience. I had a really chaotic and stressful morning so decided to order a coffee to cheer myself up despite it being out of my budget. I'm also on my way to work at this time and only pulled into the line because I figured I had enough time since there was only 2 cars ahead of me. The lady walks to my car in the line and takes my order like they usually do when its busy. She confirms my order, I pay, and then I continue waiting in line until I pull up to the window. The barista tries to hand me a drink that I didnt order so I let her know I ordered two hot drinks not one cold drink. She then asks if I've ordered and I tell her yes. I explain what I ordered and that I paid the lady taking orders. The barista tells me she doesnt see my order so after talking back and forth with the other barista and checking their tablets a few times she asks me what my order is. I tell her (2 hot drinks. 1 with oat milk and 1 with regular milk), she repeats it back to me correctly and then starts to make the order along with the other barista. They appear to be working together on multiple orders at once. She then comes over and says she finally saw my order on one of the tablets but it still wasnt on the screen near where they were making drinks. She then goes back to making coffees. Then she brings my order to me and I asked which one had the oat milk I ordered since I'm dairy intolerant (the order she had earlier repeated back to me was correct with the oat milk) and she tells me she forgot and made them both with whole milk. To her credit she did offer to remake it, but at this point I've waited way longer (25 minutes at this point) than usual due to their ordering system not working and I'm going to be late to work if I wait for her to remake it. So I ended up with a coffee that I couldn't drink, spending money I really didnt have in my budget only for it to be a waste, and it made my morning worse. I felt like she didnt really feel sorry for messing up and I dont think I'll be back until I have both disposable income and disposable time. I want to support local as I can, but coffee stand coffee is not a frequent luxury for me and I want to be sure I can actually enjoy what I order. I have been going to this coffee shop for years because of the amazing coffee. I do not even live in spokane anymore but when I come through the area I go out of my way to get a coffee at Mug Shots because no one else can make an iced carmel latte like them. Today on my way back to my work out of town I went out of my way to stop and get a coffee. When I arrived the lines were crazy long. I pulled in and waited for around 20 minutes before I got up to the window to find out there were 4 or 5 girls standing around!! It was very ridiculous and disappointing to me as a customer because I have gone there for years and that many girls cannot figure out how to get the lines moving. I would think that one of them would know what was going on. The blond that served me did not know if the punch card was mine or the persons at the other window and when i got my coffee it was grainy and gross. I called to speak to the owner that is unavailable because they won't be in until tuesday. I could of gone to a closer coffee shop for better and that is something I didn't think i would have to say. This place is so frustrating at times!! I have come in multiple times and my drinks are always horrible! I want to like this place as it is close to home but it is very inconsistent. I came through a couple minutes ago and got a lotus. The menu says that the 24oz lotus is $5.70. When the lady charged me the total was $8.40 for a 24oz lotus is crazy!! I then asked the young lady who handed me my drink why I was charged an extra $2.70 and she stated it was due to the fact that the drink has a splash of coconut milk in it so it makes it more! I really don’t understand that as no “Splash” of coconut milk should be charged at $2.70. I was so frustrated that I simply drove off. This is not the only time I have been significantly over charged for my drink. I have also previously ordered a 24oz white chocolate late with coconut and was charged $9.70 on top of the coffee tasting like it was burnt.
