Consistently the best Mexican in Spring Hill. Service has always been attentive. Portions are enormous, so don't fill up on the delicious chips and salsa if you want to have a chance to finish your entree. Love the reasonable prices, especially on the large Dos Equis Amber draft beer and the quite serviceable margaritas. They have a pretty decent happy hour; my wife and I can have a couple of drinks and food and spend less than $30. Can't beat that. We have already been several times since we moved to the area a few short months ago, and we'll definitely be back!
EDIT: I know a lot of folks who moved here from California knock 'Mexican food in TN' and I will say that the 'Mexican by the numbers' items are not going to be what you're used to having out west. However, if you expand your horizons a little bit and order things besides the Americanized Cali-Mex you're used to and instead get items that have things like cactus, zucchini, broccoli, etc., instead of just cheese, beans, and meat, you'll have a much different experience. The more authentic items like the street tacos and most of the things on the specialties menu (Molcajete anyone?) are 10x better than what you had in Cali.
It's also worth noting that they'll generally give you whatever you ask for, order a side of avocado, fresh jalapeno, etc., and you can re-create your inauthentic California Mexican food just the way you...
Read moreParking is easy. There is a large lot right outside the door, and it's an easy, flat walk to enter the building.
Seating was made available quickly, and the menu was well organized when given out.
Floors were swept and were clean. Tables were cleared and wiped down. You didn't get that sticky feeling when you touch the table like at some restaurants.
Our food was served hot and quickly. I'm a "rice guy," and I really enjoyed the flavor and consistency of the rice and the plating style. The Cheese Enchiladas were flavorful and well prepared.
I'm not usually a fan of the Pico de Gallo that is usually served at restaurants, but this was fresh and gave a burst of flavor when eaten. Bravo!
We were only checked on once during our dining, and that was a little disappointing as there were plenty of staff standing around near the back.
Now, again, the heart and soul of a restaurant are the kitchen and the restrooms. I will always visit the head. Walking in smelled clean, no paper or trash on the floor. Porcelain units were clean. Then I looked at the floor under my feet. I was wading in the "yellow sea." The piping to the wall unit was loose, and the drain appeared to be leaking. Imagine, it is being tracked out to the tables, kitchen, and the cars leaving this establishment. Nasty!
The food was good, and the total cleanliness was not. To be kind, I...
Read moreThis is an amazing Mexican restaurant! It’s very pretty, includes outdoor seating, and the service is quick and friendly. The food… wow. I had Melissa as my server today, and if you get her, just let her order for you. She knows all the authentic stuff cooked up by her father-in-law in the back.
I highly recommend you ask for the handmade, spicy guacamole, the handmade spicy salsa, and the handmade corn tortillas. I had fajitas, and the corn tortillas I ordered with them were surely the best I’ve ever had, and I spent some time in Mexico City.
Don’t miss this place. I know there are lots of Mexican restaurants in the Spring Hill/Thompson’s Station area, and I tried several, but when I found this one, I quit searching. Absolutely amazing food, great service, great atmosphere…. What else do you need?
Oh, and happy hour is from 2pm to 6pm on weekdays, and they have jumbo margaritas for $3.99!! Why are you still reading this? Get in your car and go to...
