Really gone downhill a lot in the past 10 years. Forget the things about ice cream machines and shake machines. McDonald’s hook was for kids. Play places and happy meals.
How many people remember from the 80s when you could song the whole menu for a free menu item? Aplastic record that came in the newspaper.
Looks like a depressing symbol for those kids who grew up to look at and be depressed. Lack of colors looks like a 1980s corporate office.
Most of the people there are good to work with, but the newer employees are newer generation they’re rude, and now that you can’t get free refills see treated me and the employee I was talking to poorly for even asking for one . Little blonde pudgy male manager in his 20s. I wanted to reach over the counter and shake him.
I used to go all the time with my kids. It was a place where you could let them unwind in the wintertime and a quick place to grab an ice cream cone as a reward for doing a good job. Nowadays, we go for a quick bite, but it shouldn’t cost $65 for four people eat at a fast food restaurant.
Nobody ever goes inside. No kids are ever playing, nobody smiling. They don’t even want to speak to a real person. They want you to order from the machines and then bring your ticket to the counter.
And why is the original menu from 20 years ago secretly hidden don’t order a quarter pounder without using the word deluxe or you’ll get some piece of meat with bread on it and nothing...
Read moreIf you have any special requests, don't expect them to be filled here. This McDonald's consistently ignores any changes you want to make to an item. Being a vegetarian, I have to be creative when I go out to eat. I requested a filet of fish without the fish. You'd think that special request would stand out since it's pretty odd. Nope, despite the request being on my receipt, I received fish. I have also ordered breakfast and requested a bacon, egg, and cheese mcgriddle without the bacon. Again, despite the request being noted on the receipt, there was bacon on my breakfast sandwich. Sure, it's easy enough for me to take items off myself, but it really shouldn't be that hard to follow a simple leave item off request.
The customer service, as well, is a bit lackluster. The people at the pay window seem to hate their job and hate that you're there making them work their job. Having worked in both fast food and retail, I get it, really, I do, but it isn't the customer's fault that you're there working that job in a cold window and on your feet all day. Unhappy employees leave me to believe that management is the issue. They don't have an engaging work environment and clearly don't care about the quality of their work, whether it be at the windows face to face with customers or back in the kitchen making people's food. If they can't pay attention to simple requests, are they paying attention to anything when they...
Read moreOk this was hilarious lol and I just had to share my experience
So I pull up to the drive thru and ask for a plain black iced coffee. (I order them all the time from McDonalds btw) the guy on speakerphone was like ok pull up.
So a very sweet lady gives me an iced coffee with cream and sugar and I say “oh I am so sorry but I ordered a plain black iced coffee!” She was like “oh ok ☺️” and left
Then this other dude comes up to the window. He looks me dead in the eyes and with the most stern voice says, “you neeed to be more specific in the future about how you order your coffee.” I was taken aback. I felt like I was one of his trainees that made a mistake and was being scolded for it
He continued to tell me that McDonald’s does NOT sell plain black iced coffees. They ONLY sell their iced coffees with cream and sugar. Black coffees only come hot. He said this after handing me my new and improved, 3 dollar plain black iced coffee.
Before I left I said, “so just to clarify, if I want to order a plain black iced coffee in the future, I can’t. I can ONLY order a HOT black coffee?” And he said . “That’s right” and then I drove away,
I don’t know who that man was, but , respectfully, THE...
